From the moment you arrive Hatfield Place will become your home for the day allowing you and your guests to enjoy those very special moments in the most tranquil and picturesque setting.
The Reception Hall, Drawing Room, Terrace and grounds are perfect locations for the Drinks Reception following the ceremony, so whatever the weather your day will remain flawless.
The venue is licensed to hold civil ceremonies in a number of beautiful locations including the Walled Garden which is the perfect setting if you are considering an outdoor wedding. If your heart is set on a traditional church service, St. Andrews church and All Saints church are located just a short drive from the grounds.
In addition to the country house, is the beautiful Walled Garden, landscaped over three tiers and carefully designed to create the perfect balance of the English country garden but with a modern-day twist. The Ceremony Hall and Orangery both seat from 60 to 200 guests and provide a contemporary light filled space overlooking the picturesque view of the Walled Garden.
Our luxury Bridal Coach House together with twelve beautifully furnished guest rooms are also available offering the ultimate indulgence in overnight stay.

"I love this venue, and the way it is run. On the day I visited, the owner was busy cleaning one of the guest bedrooms to ensure it was up to her high standards, while the wedding coordinator showed me around. This level of care and attention that is evident throughout the venue, with a culture that starts from the top down. As you pull off the busy A12 from Chelmsford, you pull up in front of an impressive country house with a coach house coming off at 90 degrees, and on first impression I assumed that was the entire wedding venue. I couldn't have been more wrong. The house provides the guest accommodation, while the coach house and old stables provides a stunning honeymoon suite, as well as dressing rooms for the entire bridal party. Beyond the coach house is the type of walled garden you dream of, with all the space you need for 200 guests to enjoy the formal lawns, flower borders and fountain before heading into the orangery at the far end of the walled garden. The orangery has been designed specifically with weddings in mind, and is fabulous. The contemporary glass fronted main room lends itself perfectly for the wedding breakfast, with a beautiful ceremony room beyond and additional event space to separate the disco or buffet from the main room, if preferred. This is one of the few venues that has been designed to work equally well with western or asian weddings, and I can highly recommend a visit, especially if you are planning a large wedding."
