Here at Maidens Barn we have the space and facilities to cater for your entire wedding day – from your preparation in the morning to a delicious locally sourced breakfast with your guests the following morning. We are licensed for civil wedding ceremonies inside the stunning Oak Barn and of course, for outdoor weddings in the gardens and underneath the flowering wedding arbour.

Maidens Barn is set in the heart of the Essex countryside, and is a beautifully restored barn which dates back to 1806. The building retains its original exposed beams, vaulted ceilings, and rustic brickwork, creating a warm and romantic atmosphere for your special day.

Large floor-to-ceiling windows & doors throughout the venue flood the Barns with natural light, allowing guests to enjoy the beauty of the countryside from indoors.

We are open all year round, with couples being able to choose to exchange their vows inside the Oak Barn, surrounded by rustic beauty, or choose an outdoor ceremony in the gardens or courtyard, where the peaceful countryside forms a perfect backdrop.

Conveniently located in North Essex, we are in easy reach of Chelmsford with a direct train line into London as well as Stansted airport.
