Country house, set in 700 acre country estate, extensive gardens offering choice of settings for marquee wedding receptions in Kent. House available for bridal suite & guest rooms. Pretty church within walking distance for your wedding ceremony.

We are a rural country estate with pretty sandstone house and an organic dairy farm. We were persuaded to use our grounds by a London couple who found our details as a country estate on our website and subsequently held their wedding here last year. We loved doing it and helping them and so have decided to extend our business into the wedding market.

For many years we ran an opera company, Almaviva Opera, putting on operas in the garden, we regularly open the garden for charity, jazz and other events. The four acre gardens comprise a walled garden, vegetables, fruit, enormous herbaceous borders, a ruin garden, tennis court and swimming pool. Various animals abound including our Gloucester Old Spot pigs, chickens, lambs, dogs and cats.

Marquees, yurts, tipis, or whatever takes your fancy can be set in a variety of places all with extensive views across the fields surrounded by flowers. Lovely places for photos and reception drinks.

The House is an integral part of your wedding with an elegant bridal suite together with four poster bed and views towards Ashdown Forest.

We do not have a ceremony license but there is a pretty church a short walk away with an enthusiastic and friendly Rector, alternatively Registry Offices twenty minutes away in Tunbridge Wells or Crowborough.
