The Spur Battery Amphitheatre
The Spur Battery Amphitheatre at Fort Amherst offers a fascinating insight into the fort's history. Constructed during the Napoleonic Wars, it was designed as an outwork to enhance the fort's defences. Its main features are a sunken courtyard, which has been restored as an open-air auditorium. This venue blends the Forts Napoleonic past with a modern functionality that will create a memorable atmosphere and offers a truly unique and historic setting for your wedding. The grass areas offer you the opportunity to place a Marquee for your reception if you wish to make the day complete.
