Say ‘I do’ under the hundreds of stars in the golden ceiling of the Fitzrovia Chapel. The chapel’s architect, John Loughbourgh Pearson, reportedly asked himself of each of his designs, ‘Does it send you to your knees?’ The gorgeous mosaics, marble and stained glass of the chapel surely meet his ambitious aims and will make your wedding ceremony intimate yet simply stunning, as if you were both on a film set.

There can be few more amazing venues to hold your wedding, celebration or civil partnership than the Fitzrovia Chapel. Centrally located in the heart of London, yet intimate and exquisite in flavour, the Grade II*-listed building (originally the chapel for the Middlesex Hospital) exudes grace, beauty, history and historic charm.

We don’t have a formal wedding package but rather provide a space for you to create your own unique experience, whilst observing the requirements of the registrar (in a civil ceremony) and honouring our building restrictions. We can send you a list of suppliers such as musicians, florists and photographers who know the chapel well, and whose work we think is outstanding.
Our capacity is 78 guests, which does not include yourselves or your suppliers. If your party is up to ten people, please ask us about our elopement offer.

Chairs, LED candle hire, glasses, someone to serve drinks and a welcome poster are all included in the hire fee. We don’t charge corkage if you’d like to bring your own drinks, or we can supply them for you.

A two-hour hire includes half an hour for your suppliers to set up. Your registrar interviews take place 30 minutes before your wedding begins (in a civil ceremony). The chapel is open for guests to arrive 30 minutes before your ceremony. Following your ceremony (which usually takes around 20 minutes), you have 40 minutes in the chapel for drinks and photographs. Two hours is our minimum hire time but please ask us if you would prefer a longer hire. We only offer weddings on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.

Our prices do not include the registrar’s fee which you will need to organise separately through Westminster Registration Service.
This is the only form of legal wedding ceremony that can take place at the chapel. Alternatively, some of our couples have a legal wedding before the day and choose to have a symbolic religious blessing or a ceremony conducted by a celebrant.
