The British Museum has been welcoming visitors since 1753 when Sir Hans Sloane donated his collection and created the first public Museum. With objects that span centuries and celebrates culture and history, this world-renown and much-loved venue is now finally available to provide a picturesque and iconic backdrop to any event.
Located in Central London for over 245 years, we are easily accessible for all your guests, with a 5 minute walk from either Holborn, Russell Square or Tottenham Court Road Tube stations. We are also a short distance from Euston and King’s Cross railway stations and enjoy 8 bus routes at the Museum Street stop. Whether you hold your event in our Great Court restaurant, featuring the beautiful white stone and glass ceiling, or in one of our galleries, your guests will celebrate with you while enjoying the history of the building and its unique and notable objects. Our Egyptian Sculpture gallery holds statues thousands of years old, while our Hotung Gallery brings the history of Asia alive with its objects and displays. The Nereid Gallery echos Ancient Greece with your guests dining under the front of a temple. Our spaces will be a memorable addition to your event. We can help you create bespoke menus, theming , tastings and liaising with our large network of suppliers. We can also offer add-ons such as table favours for your guests, replica sculptures and artwork for decoration, Cakes and special bakes, bespoke table centerpieces and much more.
