Our Sustainability Commitments

From the outset Llantilio House has aspired to be a carbon negative wedding venue by combining tradition with next generation technology. Rather than oil or gas, the venue is heated by heat pumps and 4.5km of ground source pipes. Hot water is created locally using heat from the buildings and mini ground-source heaters. And the pool/spa is filtered using the same science behind natural swimming ponds which negates the need for chlorine. We offset electrical carbon emissions through our partnership with the ‘Great Reserve’ sequioa plantation, Abergavenny and other de-carbonising endeavours such as restoring the Trothy valley back to wildflower floodplain meadow to improve topsoil sequestration and bio-diversity.
