About Godwick Great Barn
Combining history with a magnificent landscape, our 450 year old Grade II listed barn is the perfect venue for a truly unique wedding. Our ancient, rural location is steeped in history and full of charm and your guests will be wowed by the awe-inspiring surroundings. Godwick Great Barn is a blank canvas wedding venue, which means you can personalise the space to suit your own vision and style. On site luxury self-catering accommodation means up to 30 guests can stay onsite during the summer.
- Absolutely picture-perfect, our beautiful and quirky venue provides a whole host of photo opportunities, both inside and out.
- We offer ceremony options for everyone, from elopements and small weddings of up to 25 guests to large weddings of up to 120 guests, inside and outside.
- Our venue combines rustic authenticity with luxury, contemporary facilities, including our large kitchen space, posh loos and bespoke bar.
- The barn has huge oak beams and a high pitched roof which are amazing to look at, but also result in great acoustics for music and entertainment.
- Options for tractor rides up to our 11th century ruins for couples photos.
- Enjoy a three-day getaway with our hire packages: arrive Friday to customise the venue, party on Saturday, and relax in our stunning accommodations on Sunday until your check out on Monday morning.
- Two-day midweek packages available with weddings on Tuesdays and Thursdays, accompanied by two-nights accommodation.
- Twilight wedding options available on midweek dates for a more informal relaxed approach.
- A choice of ceremony locations either inside the Barn, or an opt for an outside ceremony on the western lawns; overlooking the ruins of Godwick All Saints Church and the Lost Village of Godwick.
- Godwick's accommodation includes Godwick Hall, a grand 19th century home with seven stylishly deocrated ensuite bedrooms, including a Bridal Suite. The Hall also hosts a wonderful games room, with a three-quarter size snooker table and outdoor heated swimming pool open from June to September and an outside sauna open all year round.
The Old Stables, which is next door to Godwick Hall and has three ensuite luxury bedrooms, a modern airy kitchen and a picturesque outside dining area. In the grounds of the Hall are three ensuite Shepherd’s Huts and two luxury off grid bell tents, bringing the total of onsite adult guest accommodation to 30. The bell tents are only open from April to September.

Our Sustainability Commitments
Sustainability is at the heart of everything we do. We are always trying to find new ways to create more sustainable business. We ensure to use sustainable brands in our accommodations for toiletries and coffee pods, we offer the option of coffee logs to go on the wood burners in the Shepherds Huts and Stables, and our Shepherds Huts are insulated using sheep's wool! Along with these we have many other ways that we strive for more sustainability. We ensure to keep our teams educated so that we can reduce waste consumption and water usage, as well as sourcing products from local sustainable brands where possible.
