About Grand Villa Heights
High on the clifftops above Robin Hood’s Bay, Grand Villa Heights brings together coastal views, expansive grounds and a boutique hotel setting designed for weddings that unfold over more than a single day. Positioned 600 feet above sea level within the North York Moors National Park, the venue looks out across dramatic shoreline scenery while remaining close to Whitby and Scarborough.
Ceremonies can take place outdoors in the gardens overlooking the coast or inside the on-site chapel, offering couples a choice between open-air celebrations and an indoor setting. Receptions continue in the wedding suite, where panoramic views form the backdrop for dining and evening celebrations, with space for up to 120 guests during the day and up to 200 for evening events.
Weddings at Grand Villa Heights are often planned as extended stays, with the option to continue celebrations across several days, from pre-wedding gatherings to relaxed post-wedding time together on the cliff tops. Food is prepared in-house, with menus ranging from formal dining to more informal options including picnics, buffets and shared feasts.
On-site accommodation allows guests to remain together throughout the celebration. The venue includes 54 bedrooms alongside six lodges, with some rooms featuring private terraces, gardens or hot tubs overlooking the surrounding landscape. Set within 90 acres of grounds, the setting combines hotel comfort with wide coastal surroundings, allowing weddings to move naturally between indoor spaces and the outdoors across the course of the celebration.
