At Eavestone Lake, we believe that celebrating in nature comes with a responsibility to protect it. Our venue has been thoughtfully created to work in harmony with its woodland surroundings, allowing couples to enjoy a beautiful, nature-led wedding while leaving a light footprint on the landscape. Rather than reshaping the environment, Eavestone has been carefully built into the natural hillside, preserving the character of the woodland and lakeside setting. The terrain is intentionally wild and natural, which means some areas are steep and uneven underfoot. We see this as part of the venue's unique charm, offering an authentic outdoor experience while respecting the landscape that makes Eavestone so special. Our exclusive two-night wedding experience also encourages a slower, more meaningful way to celebrate. With the ceremony, accommodation and celebrations all in one place, couples and guests can relax, spend more time together and reduce the need for unnecessary travel between multiple venues. We are committed to making conscious choices throughout the venue and our operations, including: • Encouraging the use of local Yorkshire suppliers and seasonal produce. • Protecting and preserving our woodland and lakeside environment. • Recycling waste responsibly during events. • Using durable, reusable furnishings and equipment wherever possible. • Supporting outdoor ceremonies and nature-led celebrations that make the most of our surroundings. • Using low-level, warm lighting to minimise light pollution. • Sourcing firewood locally and responsibly. • Incorporating water-saving measures within our accommodation. • Using energy-efficient LED lighting throughout the venue. • Providing electric vehicle charging for guests.
