About Yorkshire Yurts and Yurtshire
Yorkshire Yurts is a Yurt and Marquee Hire company based in North Yorkshire that primarily delivers within two and a half hours travel from Ripon. Therefore, you can hire a yurt for a location of your choosing! Yurtshire is the sister to Yorkshire Yurts and uses the Yurts to provide a glamping experience for guests. Yurtshire has two locations, one being Eavestone Lake where weddings can be held and the other is Fountains which is off the grid so you can completely escape the outside world. Both sites are within 3 miles of each other and allow you to be surrounded by beautiful nature, meaning you'll be able to enjoy a relaxing experience.
Weddings at Eavestone Lake
Eavestone Lake is Yurtshire's newest site, located between Risplith and Fell Beck. The lakeside yurts are exclusively yours from the night before the wedding, meaning you can start your celebrations ahead of the big day as well as the night after to fully encompass your magical day. This venue also has a treatment yurt and yoga studio for you to unwind ahead of your nuptials. While Eavestone Lake does not have a license for an official wedding ceremony, it is a stunning location for a wedding blessing.
Lovers Seat
Lover's Seat is a glade at Eavestone Lake. It has the perfect backdrop for your wedding blessing, nestled in the woodlands beside the water. A truly special place to say I do. The aisle is bracken lined with pine needle flooring which is rustic and so romantic. There is a stretch tent available in case the unpredictable British weather is not on your side! You may find inspiration from Loose Women presenter Stacey Solomon's recent wedding to Joe Swash, who had an outdoor blessing this July.
The Nest
The Nest is where the wedding reception and other activities can take place. This is a 25ft yurt, set in the secluded woodland, with a beautiful veranda overlooking a pond. Here you can enjoy a wood-fired pizza, a barbecue or even toast marshmallows around a fire-pit with your guests. There is a breathtaking fairy light canopy and the rest remains a blank canvas for you to make your own. This is an amazing space for dinner and dancing!
The Accommodation
All nine of the yurts at Eavestone Lake are self contained with their own toilet, hot shower, kitchen facilities and even their own private wood-burning hot tub. Due to the location there is little light pollution so the stars are dazzling at night. Each cosy yurt can hold up to five guests and dogs are able to stay in three of them. The yurts contain all the luxuries of a hotel but have a much more intimate and charming feel.
