About The Bay Tree Hotel
The Bay Tree Hotel sits on Sheep Street in Burford, a town on the southern edge of the Cotswolds that dates back to the 16th century. Its Grade II-listed stone building combines historic features such as flagstone floors, roaring log fires and a galleried staircase with contemporary interiors and thoughtful comforts.
Couples can book the hotel for exclusive use from arrival on the wedding day until the following morning. Under exclusive use, the whole property becomes private for the wedding party, allowing celebrations across its varied spaces including the restaurant, bar, conservatory and gardens. A dedicated wedding coordinator supports couples through planning and on the day.
Civil ceremonies can take place in several licensed locations within the hotel. The Hawthorne Room, with its wood burner, is suited to intimate gatherings of up to 12. The Conservatory overlooks the garden and accommodates larger indoor ceremonies, and the Restaurant is licensed for the highest numbers. An outdoor option exists in the garden’s Summer House, which is also licensed for alfresco civil ceremonies.
The hotel has 21 individually styled bedrooms for couples and guests to stay overnight. Breakfast is available the morning after the wedding.
