voco® Oxford Spires Hotel is just a short walk along the River Thames into the city centre, however being set within 38 acres of picturesque parkland, it is the perfect compromise between a city and countryside wedding venue.
As you approach the hotel, the tree-lined driveway – flanked by the neighboring horse sanctuary and apple orchard – opens up to reveal the modern Cotswolds stone building. The mix of contemporary elegance and traditional architecture is the perfect setting to host your wedding celebrations.
This Oxford venue sets the tone for a beautiful wedding day with elegance, charming design features, and historic character. From large magnificent weddings filled with tradition and plenty of friends and family, to intimate weddings, here you’ll find ample choice of spaces for your big day.
The Cathedral Suite, refurbished in 2018, is a beautiful large function space in which can be broken down into 4 smaller intimate spaces. With grey and white tones throughout, this space is the perfect blank, yet elegant canvas for you to add your own touches. When fully open, it can accommodate up to 160 guests for a wedding breakfast and 250 guests for an evening reception. With its own private patio and private bar, this is the perfect space to celebrate with your nearest and dearest.

Due to the size of our venue, this is not something we can offer, however, you do have total privacy inside the function space as well as your own private bar. We will only ever do 1 wedding per day.
Yes, four of our function spaces are licenced for civil ceremonies.
We only have indoor spaces that are licenced for civil ceremonies.
We have an extensive wine list for you to choose from.
We have our own fantastic chefs in house to help create your perfect menu.
This completely depends on what is happening inside the venue the night prior to your wedding and what function spaces you have booked. This can be discussed nearer the time with your wedding coordinator.
On a Friday and Saturday, your private bar and music will end at 1am. On any other day, the music and bar will shut down at midnight. However, at the duty manager's discretion, our main lobby bar can be used 24hrs a day.
Unfortunately due to our location, we do not allow fireworks.
Yes, as long as it is bio-degradable and used outside, this is absolutely fine.
Yes! We just blow them out or replace them with fake ones for the evening reception.
Yes, there are a choice of suites/bedrooms to choose from.
