voco Oxford Spires sits just a short distance from Oxford’s city centre along a tree-lined drive bordered by an apple orchard and a neighbouring horse sanctuary. The hotel’s contemporary design in Cotswold stone blends modern interiors with traditional architectural character, set within parkland and near the River Thames.
Couples can host weddings for small gatherings or celebrations with up to 200 guests, choosing from a variety of event spaces that suit different sizes and layouts. The Cathedral Suite is a principal wedding space with floor-to-ceiling windows that let in natural light and can be divided into sections to match guest numbers. This room also has access to a private terrace and includes its own bar area. The Cardinal Room offers a more intimate space with patio doors opening to a semi-private terrace, and flexible air-conditioned space for wedding breakfasts and receptions.
Wedding packages include a suite for the wedding breakfast and evening reception until midnight, a honeymoon suite, décor elements, a toastmaster, DJ, and a banquet host. Couples and their guests can stay at the hotel during the celebrations, with access to on-site leisure facilities including a swimming pool, spa, sauna and gym, and a range of guest rooms.

Due to the size of our venue, this is not something we can offer, however, you do have total privacy inside the function space as well as your own private bar. We will only ever do 1 wedding per day.
Yes, four of our function spaces are licenced for civil ceremonies.
We only have indoor spaces that are licenced for civil ceremonies.
We have an extensive wine list for you to choose from.
We have our own fantastic chefs in house to help create your perfect menu.
This completely depends on what is happening inside the venue the night prior to your wedding and what function spaces you have booked. This can be discussed nearer the time with your wedding coordinator.
On a Friday and Saturday, your private bar and music will end at 1am. On any other day, the music and bar will shut down at midnight. However, at the duty manager's discretion, our main lobby bar can be used 24hrs a day.
Unfortunately due to our location, we do not allow fireworks.
Yes, as long as it is bio-degradable and used outside, this is absolutely fine.
Yes! We just blow them out or replace them with fake ones for the evening reception.
