About Swallows Oast
Perfect Barn for a your wedding Ticehurst East Sussex. Civil ceremony beautiful wedding venue is East Sussex. Perfect for your wedding day with this stunning oast for the back drop of wedding photographs. Indoor or outdoor weddings and wedding receptions for up to 200 guests. Our outside weddings include our pavilion, woodland enclave by the oak trees or by our lake, all beautiful settings for your special day, or alternatively marry in the main hall of our oast.
Originally built in the 1830's, Swallows Oast is situated at Gibbs Reed Farm, East Sussex and has been well known as a banqueting hall since 1995.
Your ceremony will be held in the main hall, this area seats 100 guests with standing space in the gallery. There are many options of room layout for you to choose from along with your choice of music. Our premises also holds a full licence for ceremony's in our outside areas, these being; At the Pavilion, in the woodland or by our Swallows Lake . After the ceremony we will lay out all the tables and chairs leaving you plenty of room for the reception of your choice, using your own decorations and centre pieces.
Swallows Oast is set amongst glorious scenery in the heart of East Sussex. If you meander down Swallows Trail you will reach a gateway to countryside views that span as far as Brightling on a clear day. Photographic opportunities are endless and you and your guests can lose yourselves in the tranquility of this wonderful setting.

Swallows Oast has ample room to comfortably seat 100 guests downstairs and 30 upstairs for a meal prepared by our resident chef Russell Webb of Capers Catering. Russell will create a menu to suit your personal taste. A popular catering option throughout the summer months is a barbecue or spit roast, these can either be served as a main course or a buffet style evening feature.
Swallows trail offers a great opportunity for your photographer and a chance to enjoy the stunning rural surroundings.
For the evening, Our music licence lasts until midnight on Fridays and Saturdays when you dance to live or recorded music.
Swallows Oast can offer accommodation as we have our new bridal suite just at the foot of our venue! this can be available for the bride and her bridesmaids to stay the night before and perfect for the newly weds to stay on their special night.
