Offering a Booking Bonus

Couples using Guides for Brides to search for their wedding suppliers are naturally drawn to those offering a booking bonus.

If you haven’t yet added a booking bonus, here’s 3 reasons to add one today.

Your listing will get more hits

When you have a booking bonus attached to your listing, couples are more likely to send you an enquiry as they feel that they will get more for their money when they book through you.

Your customers will talk about you

Word of mouth is the strongest marketing, and who doesn’t want to talk about their “free upgrade”? Your couples will feel good about you from their very first interaction, and that “little extra” you are offering can turn into future bookings.

Track your results more effectively

You want to know that your advertising is working for you and adding a Booking Bonus is a great way to track your enquiries. Couples can only apply for the bonus if their very first contact with you was as a direct result of your Guides for Brides listing.

So what makes a good booking bonus?

Cashback is always popular so if you are one of the many suppliers offering a 10% referral fee to planners or venues, consider offering it as a Booking Bonus for couples coming to you direct. For hotels and restaurants, an anniversary offer not only provides that extra little reason to book, but continues the relationship with the couple well after the wedding.

Add a booking bonus which will extend your relationship with the couple

Photographers offering a free photoshoot before the wedding gets the couple some great photos before they are married, and they will feel more comfortable with the photographer on their big day as they’ve already built up a relationship. Or if you might not have time for a full photoshoot, you could offer one free large format print of their choosing, on top of your existing deal.

For bakers and cake makers, why not send out a box of free cupcakes for confirming the booking? Put a note in there congratulating them on their engagement or with excited sentiments for the wedding. They’ll be sure to thank you on the day and will probably post a picture on social media. Let them know your Instagram handle and it’s a win win.

Do you have a popular ‘add on” that won’t cost you anything, such as extended hire, free cake stand hire, free props or an upgrade to a higher level of service? It doesn’t take much, so just have a think about what you could offer.

Adding a booking bonus to your listing will drive more traffic to your listing

Top Tip: Don’t include specific dates or you’ll need to update the offer.

To add your Booking Bonus to your listing* either log on and select Booking Bonus on the left, or contact your account manager on 01235 770078.

*As a Booking Bonus generates additional enquiries, the Booking Bonus feature is only available for clients with a current subscription.
