Milan and Jai held their wedding at the stunning Banqueting House in London. They contacted Luxury Cakes by Yevnig to create a bespoke wedding cake for their big day, who were absolutely delighted to work with them. Here's the story in the words of Yevnig...
"It was an honour to work so closely with this wonderful couple as they built their dream wedding to celebrate their love. These are the highlights from a truly beautiful gay wedding because, all you need is love, and a delicious by Yevnig cake!
The Beautiful Historic Venue
The Historic Royal Palaces Banqueting House in Whitehall, London, designed by Inigo Jones was constructed for lavish costumed masques, feasts and Royal ceremonies. It is the most stunning venue for a wedding!
Designed by the creative talents of Milan with the coordination of the Historic Royal Palace's events team, the hall was decorated with elements of Rajasthani luxury and the majestic charm of India. Stunning fresh floral arrangements with pops of vibrant colour were designed by master florist Simon Lycett, who adorned the tables.
The Bespoke Luxury Wedding Cake
The couple chose our delicious vanilla sponge cake with a raspberry jam and buttercream filling. However, to accommodate for dietary requirements we made a fluffy egg free version serving up to 150 guests and further 6 gluten free slices. And, as a memento of the day, pre-sliced cakes were gift wrapped in monogrammed boxes to take home.
The cake, in elegant ivory Royal Icing, featured a petal shaped bottom tier decorated with a swag of piped flowers and a further 4 tiers with pearl accents. There was also a cascade of edible gold leaves with delicate sugar flowers. Celebrating their love and commitment, the couple chose to have their initials added as a monogram and brushed with gold.
Situated pride of place where the Kings throne once sat, the cake was completed with the most beautiful fresh blooms in vibrant colours. "

Our cake catered for a number of dietary needs including gluten free and vegan. Yevnig took elements of our venue and incorporated them within our cake as well featuring our monogram too.
