About Hampton Court Palace & The Garden Room

Home to Henry VIII and some of the most famous kings and queens of England. Licensed for Ceremonies, Hampton Court Palace, is offered as a dry hire venue, with ceremonies in The Garden Room, The Great Hall and Banqueting house. Couples have exclusive rights for photography in the palace's courtyards, staircases, and extensive gardens.

A dedicated event manager provides personal service and expertise throughout the planning process. The venue can hold events of various sizes, from intimate gatherings to large-scale receptions. Spaces licensed for ceremonies include the King's Guard Chamber for up to 140 guests and the Great Watching Chamber for up to 100.

For smaller events, the Little Banqueting House sits beside the River Thames and holds up to 50 guests for a seated dinner within its own private garden. For larger celebrations, the 1920s-style Garden Room is an orangery set in a private walled garden, with French doors opening onto the lawn. It can hold up to 180 guests for a civil ceremony or seated dining. Evening receptions can take place in the historic State Apartments. The Great Hall, England's last medieval great hall, seats up to 220 guests, while the Undercroft below, originally Henry VIII's beer cellar, is used for dancing and evening entertainment.
