Phil proposed to Sam on Christmas Eve; he created a beautiful “Our Story” photo album, and when Sam turned to the last page, she found a photograph of him with a “will you marry me" poster, and before she knew it, he had produced an engagement ring from the nearby Christmas tree.
They decided on a relaxed, country garden theme with pretty birdcages and hydrangeas in shades of spring to complement the beautiful country house setting at their venue, Elmore Court. Their whole day reflected the most important parts of the couple’s life together, with pictures of loved ones all around, games for the younger guests and live evening entertainment.
Being creative, Sam relished the opportunity to create a lot of the signs and decorations - from the chalkboard welcome sign, wicker pew ends and gold vases, the personalised menu board, glittery hanging lanterns and cake topper - she made it all. Although the decorations required a lot of time and effort, the couple now enjoy them around the house and are a wonderful reminder of their day.
