A celebrant allows you to have a joyful, bespoke wedding ceremony that's all about you, wherever you would like to have it and free of any restrictions when it comes to wording, music or location. A Registrar provides the legal administration of the marriage contract and these ceremonies contain the legal wording that is required by UK law, in order to secure the contract. A Registrar is not permitted to include anything spiritual in their ceremonies and that extends to music.

Humanist celebrants don't believe in religion and conduct non-religious ceremonies based on humanist beliefs; the humanist point of view will be shared with your guests before your ceremony gets going, while civil celebrants are free to conduct ceremonies that include religious elements in a ceremony that is all about YOU from the very first word that is spoken.

Yes indeed - with your input! Your ceremony will be a true reflection of who you are as individuals and as a couple. You and I will spend plenty of time chatting over a cuppa, so that I can get a real feel for the authentic YOU and that is reflected in your ceremony.

My prices start at £600 and will increase depending on where I am asked to go in the UK and in Brittany.

You have a lot of input into the ceremony script and I'm here to bring all of your ideas together in the most creative and engaging way. Your vows are personal to you and I can help you write vows that come from your heart. I can also provide you with lots of suggested templated formats that you can pick and choose from, to build your own.

The most important thing that has to be included in your ceremony is YOU! The next is what you want. Please read that again - what you want! I have lots of ideas to help you and years of experience that will guide us along the way.

Yes indeed I do. Regardless of how 'enlightened' we consider ourselves to be in this country, many couples still face prejudice when it comes to their weddings and they have many obstacles to overcome. I have been described as an LGBTQ+ ally and I have made many good friends with my LBGTQ+ couples.

I have plenty of experience of leading interfaith weddings and I take a careful and respectful approach to honouring faith, culture and family traditions.

We will always meet in one form or other - it's so important for you to get to know me so that I'm a familiar face when you arrive at your ceremony. We will normally meet face to face at least once before your wedding and other meetings will be via video call (WhatsApp, FaceTime, Zoom, Teams, GoogleMeet etc).

Please book me as far in advance as you can. Celebrants are the same as other wedding professionals and we are often booked 1 to 4 years in advance.

Celebrants are not currently permitted to conduct a legally binding marriage or civil partnership ceremony in England and Wales. But this gives you so much freedom! Book your statutory marriage ceremony with a Registrar and then let loose with all your plans for a Celebrant-led ceremony with no restrictions!
