Perfect Words Ceremonies

Registrars are employed by the local authority and are authorised to conduct legally binding marriages and use a standard script template, you are unlikely to meet a Registrar until the day. A Celebrant will get to know you and write a unique, personalised wedding script for you that reflects your personalities, values and tells your story. Your legal marriage registration will need to be completed separately in a simple 2+2 ceremony at a RO that costs £57 as part of your wedding admin.

A humanist celebrant conducts non-religious ceremonies and works with couples who have humanist beliefs. An independent celebrant is fully inclusive and works with all couples, they are not restricted to any belief system and can include acts of religious worship or rituals if you wish. Although the majority of ceremonies are non-religious, I work with couples of all faiths and beliefs and create a personalised ceremony that is meaningful to them.

Wedding prices start at £750

As soon as you decide you would like to secure my services, please do book me to avoid disappointment. I have received bookings 3 years in advance and also some very quick turnarounds. If you have set your date, it is advisable to book your key suppliers as soon as you are able. We can then begin our journey together.

You have full control over the content of your ceremony. Typically I will send you the 1st draft of your ceremony 8 wks before your big day and if you wish to amend or add any wording that is absolutely fine, we will tweak away until you are happy with every single word. With regards to writing your own vows, In the couples area of my website their is a helpful guide to assist you and I am always here to help. I will prepare your personal vow booklets for you to read from during your ceremony

With a celebrant ceremony you have the freedom to include anything you wish. Typically the ceremonies I write include a traditional format but are relaxed and highly personalised to capture the essence of the couple and we often include family members. We can include as many readings as you wish, your love story, a unity ritual and your personal vows. We can also include hymns or a modern song for everyone to sing to. It is important that everything we include is meaningful to you.

Absolutely, the service I provide is fully inclusive and I enjoy working collaboratively with couples to create their perfect wedding ceremony that reflects their beliefs in a way that is meaningful to them.

There is no legal requirement, but I like to get to know my couples, so we will meet in person 2/3 times before your wedding day if you are in the UK. If you are an international couple or this is not possible, our ceremony planning meetings will be carried out on Zoom and we will arrange to meet before your ceremony once you arrive in the UK for your wedding.

Unfortunately in England a celebrant-led ceremony is not a legal marriage, however many modern couples choose to separate the legal registration of marriage from their wedding ceremony to allow them to have a highly-personalised, meaningful wedding ceremony with no restrictions. The legal registration of marriage can be completed in the week before their wedding ceremony as part of their wedding admin.
