If you’re planning your wedding, you want to do everything you can to make your partner feel like the most special person in the world both leading up to and during the big day. If you haven’t yet thought of any unique ways to make your partner feel treasured, this article will walk you through six heartfelt ways to make them feel special on your most memorable day.

1. Surprise Them with Something They Love

From chocolates to jewellery, such as diamond engagement rings and necklaces, you may already have an idea of what they love. Surprising them with anything related to gifts that have made them feel special in the past shows you're thinking of them and care about their happiness. You could also ask their friends for more ideas on what would be perfect for them. Close friends can help greatly as they know exactly what your partner wants, and they'll likely share the joy of giving them a surprise gift!

2. Give Your Partner a Private Wedding Photo Shoot

One way to make your partner feel special is to give them a private wedding photo shoot. This can be a great way to capture candid moments together and create lasting memories. It's also an excellent way for you to spend quality time together before or after the big day. Here are a few tips:

  • Let your partner choose the photographer and photoshoot venue to make them feel involved.
  • Have fun with it. Dress up in outfits from your past years together, wear sombreros at an outdoor shoot - whatever makes them happy!
  • Tell your partner how amazing they look; boosting their confidence is so important.
  • Engage in conversations as if no one else is around (even if there are people nearby).
  • If you have children or pets, why not bring them along for a few photos!

3. Compliment Your Partner

Complimenting your partner in an appropriate way is another great trick to make them feel special and appreciated. Your partner wants to know what you like about them and that will make them feel so loved on their wedding day. A few sweet and positive words can go a long way. For example, a simple comment like, "Wow - you look so beautiful in that outfit," shows you care without being too cringe.

4. Surprise Them With a Personal Gift

Surprising your partner with a personal gift is another heartfelt way to make them feel extra special. This could be a souvenir, a piece of customised jewellery, flight tickets to a romantic honeymoon destination, or even a love note expressing your love for them.

If you’re having trouble thinking of an idea, many online gift shops offer customised or personalised items you can make special for your fiancé. You could also consult a jewellery store for custom-made pieces like earrings, necklaces, rings, and even bracelets that you can design to match their engagement ring. Most jewellery stores have artists who can personalise such pieces based on your pictures or descriptions.

5. Make the Wedding Ring Carrier Special

You can make the wedding ring presentation more memorable by using a notable ring bearer to carry the rings down the aisle and present them to you during the ceremony. Maybe choose someone close you and your partner, who you both love dearly, as the ring bearer. One idea is to have your children or favourite nieces and nephews participate.

Additionally, the wedding ring carrier is an excellent opportunity to show off your creativity and thoughtfulness. You can go down the traditional route and have a simple white satin box lined with velvet, or get more creative with an unconventional design that reflects your partner’s personality.

6. Be Romantic

There's nothing like a bit of romance to make your fiancé feel special. Being romantic doesn’t have to be complicated; sometimes, the simplest gestures can impact the most. Surprise them with flowers on the morning of your wedding, send them thoughtful messages throughout the day and make sure you take a few moments away from the festivities to be alone together.

Remember...

Wedding Day

Your wedding day will be one of the most memorable days of your life. The anticipation and excitement leading up to the big day are like no other, and you'll want it to be perfect in every possible way. But remember, imperfections are what will make your day special and unique to you as a couple. As long as you are there to support each other, the day will be perfect in its own way.
