Lady Kitty Spencer, Princess Diana's niece, married billionaire Michael Lewis on Saturday 24th July 2021 at a stunning wedding ceremony and celebration at the exclusive Villa Aldobrandini on the outskirts of Rome.
Kitty and Michael got engaged back in December 2019 and they publicly announced their engagement in January 2020. Lewis' engagement ring for Spencer, a full band set with large, emerald cut diamonds, is estimated to be between 25 and 30 carats and could be worth up to £300,000!

Kitty wore a number of bespoke Alta Moda gowns created by Dolce and Gabbana, for which she has modelled since 2017 and is now a global ambassador. The bridal party also dazzled in Alta Moda which included Lady Kitty’s siblings and the Groom's attire. Her gorgeous bridal makeup was done by Jennifer Bradburn Makeup and her stunning hair by Pattibussa.
Kitty’s brothers, Louis Spencer, Viscount Althorp, and Samuel Aitken, walked her down the aisle to a live rendition of the score from the movie The Duchess, which is about Kitty’s vivacious great-great-great-great-great Aunt Georgiana Spencer, Duchess of Devonshire. Matteo Bocelli, son of world-famous opera singer Andrea Bocelli, sang during the ceremony.
The couples' special day was captured by photographers, German Larkin and Robert Fairer, and videographer, Marco Caputo Films. The evening before the wedding, Kitty wore a stunning, baby-blue, strapless tulle gown with matching cape, adorned with pink cross-stitched floral embroidery.
For her wedding ceremony look, Lady Spencer radiated an err of Grace Kelly and ethereal beauty in a Victorian-inspired lace gown with a high neck, long sleeves, puffed shoulders and a button-down front, a nod to her mother, Victoria Aitken’s, wedding dress design.
Tatler reported the inspiration behind the wedding gown: "'One of the inspirations is definitely her love for Italy. Kitty is in love with our beautiful country and its rich history, art and culture,' says Domenico Dolce, 'But she is also a girl who is very attached to her origins, to England; to her heritage of the great Victorian era. And like all the English people, she has a great passion for all kinds of flowers.’ "
Following the wedding ceremony, Kitty changed into another stunning gown. Perfect for wining and dining with her guests, this double organza hand-painted silk gown was intricately embellished with flowers and crystals and featured a gorgeous off the shoulder neckline.
No lavish wedding would be complete without an incredible party gown! Lady Spencer’s fully beaded cocktail dress was simply gorgeous and dripping in tasteful silvers and golds.
Other wedding looks included a beautiful white and green silk dress. The green bodice elegantly framed her décolletage, and the skirt was adorned with decorative sequins, ribbons and floral embellishments. A matching green ivy necklace and earrings perfectly completed her look at the celebrations.
Another stunning dress for Kitty’s wedding celebrations was a gorgeous ivory lace number, covered in multi-coloured applique flowers. The short, puffed sleeves had beautiful dark green hems and bows to contrast.
Interestingly, for her wedding, Kitty strayed from tradition and decided not to wear the Spencer Tiara. This family heirloom was last worn by Lady Celia McCorquodale during her 2018 wedding to George Woodhouse and was also worn by Princess Diana on her wedding day.
Lady Kitty’s wedding day looks and overall essence was truly breathtaking. Her sister, Lady Amelia Spencer, got engaged to her long-time beau, Greg Mallett, back in 2020. Let us hope that we will see more glorious wedding inspiration at their nuptials in the near future!
