A country hotel on the River Taw, between Barnstaple & Exeter, with 6 acres of stunning grounds for outdoor ceremonies and a lovely chapel for inside services if preferred. Our luxury treehouse offers a unique alternative to our honeymoon suite!

Our team are renowned for their excellent organisational skills and we offer a flexible approach to planning your special day. Our guests are amazed at the friendliness and professionalism of the staff and our award winning food impresses everyone. We are dedicated to improving our grounds and interior to ensure we remain the best in the area for weddings and partnerships.

We can cater for up to 130 guests for the service and banquet or areas can be divided for smaller, intimate ceremonies. You can invite up to 250 guests for evening receptions, with our hog roast buffet proving a very popular option. We have 20 beautiful en-suite bedrooms, including the stunning Eggesford Suite with it's Emperor size (7 foot wide!) 4 poster bed.

With 6 acres to explore and bordering the River Taw our grounds are wonderful for photos. There is a swing over the baby lake and the magnificent oak trees on the larger lake are truly impressive. The summerhouse allows outside services to be held and if the weather turns our lovely chapel inside is available at all times.

New for 2018 & 2019; our Garden Party Wedding package offers a ceremony on the lawn with Pimms or bubbles, afternoon tea served in our lovely mini marquee and big party in our bar for the evening. From £4000 for 50 guests in the day and 100 in the evening!
