The Walled Garden is an idyllic spot for wedding ceremonies, surrounded by fragrant flower borders and featuring a handcrafted oak arbour. The Cider Barn offers an equally stunning backdrop, with polished concrete floors, soaring oak trusses and a floor-to-ceiling window that floods the space with natural light. For your wedding breakfast, The Stable Barn provides a stylish setting with warm timber interiors, elegant lighting and a fully stocked bar. The Tack Room offers an intimate retreat where you can take a moment to relax and refresh in luxurious comfort. Guests can mingle in The Press Bar, enjoying a drink by the wood-burning stove, settling into the comfortable seating, or stepping outside to soak in the beauty of the walled garden. We only ever offer exclusive use hire
We are licensed for indoor and outdoor wedding ceremonies. Indoor ceremonies are held in our stunning Cider Barn, outdoor ceremonies are held in our gorgeous Walled Garden beneath the Oak Arbour.
Yes. We have a beautiful walled garden with stunning lavender lined aisle leading to the beautiful Oak Arbour. All with glorious backdrops of the Blackdown Hills and surrounding countryside
Corkage charges do apply for those who wish to bring their own wine.
We have a choice of fabulous award winning caterers, who can create your own perfect Wedding menu, from the traditional ever popular wedding dishes, to feasting style sharing platters to fine dining. You are welcome to choose a food truck for your evening catering.
Your decorative items can be dropped off the day before as arranged with your Wedding Co-ordinator to set up for you. However you don't need to decorate as we will set up your decor for you and work with any suppliers you are using.

We have a great deal of fantastic accommodation on our doorstep, our accommodation directory on our website lists some of the local options for you. This is in addition to our onsite accommodation that can sleep up to 14 people.

Our Sustainability Commitments
Sustainability is important to our team and we have taken steps to be kinder and appreciate the world we live in. Along with biomass heating and hot water, we use a bore hole for water supply, air source water and heating for The Paddock and our gorgeous onsite accommodation pods, they have also been created using repurposed shipping containers – stylish yet sustainable, a winner in our eyes! Throughout our various restoration projects here at Upton Barn, we have been very careful to design the buildings in keeping with the original feel of the farm. We’ve used our own oak to build the outdoor ceremony arbour and our own stone from the quarry to restore the barn, just to name a couple! As well as using local craftspeople, our local blacksmith created our striking light installations, chandeliers and features around the venue like our beautiful logo in the Stable Barn. Here in the South West, we are fortunate enough to have a plethora of talented suppliers and creatives in the area. We wholeheartedly support our local suppliers and are very passionate about working with those who align with the Upton ethos – whether that’s in building and renovation, or through to wedding vendors. Our handpicked collection of caterers, Pickle Shack and Mulberry Catering Co, are family-run businesses that are advocates of using local independent suppliers, and seasonal produce in their menus, both working hard to ensure minimal food wastage. Our drive to continue to become more sustainable continues as we invested in solar technology at Upton in 2023.
