About Sewerby Hall
Sewerby Hall and Gardens sits on a 52-acre estate of gardens, courtyard and historic buildings on a clifftop above Bridlington Bay in East Yorkshire. The nineteenth-century Orangery, a glass conservatory overlooking lawns and sea views, is licensed for civil ceremonies and can seat up to 120 guests, with space for up to 70 guests at a reception or Vintage Afternoon Tea following the ceremony.
Couples can use the gardens, pleasure and walled garden areas around the Orangery and hall for photography and mingling after their vows. The venue offers extras such as chair covers, a wedding aisle runner and the option of a classical pianist, and a decorated Land Train can take you and up to 60 guests along the north promenade and cliff top.
For receptions, cold seated menus, finger buffets or Vintage Afternoon Tea can be arranged with a selection of drinks for up to 70 people, with two hours required to reset the Orangery after the ceremony.
Short-stay holiday cottages on site, converted from the Georgian lodge and gatehouses, are available for you or your close guests to book, with options that include two and three bedrooms, and can support preparations or post-wedding stays
