About Winters Barns
On the edge of Canterbury, Winters Barns brings together a collection of restored 16th century Kentish barns surrounded by open fields and farmland. The estate blends original beams and oak floorboards with carefully restored interiors, creating a setting that moves seamlessly from ceremony to celebration without guests needing to relocate.
Ceremonies take place either inside the Ceremony Barn, which seats up to 150 guests year-round beneath its fairy light canopy, or outdoors in the Cart Barn during British Summer Time, also seating up to 150. After the vows, drinks and canapés are served in the courtyard or bar lounge before guests gather in the original oak barn for the wedding breakfast. This barn seats up to 150 for dining, with furniture, tableware and white linen included, along with a PA system, microphones and projector for speeches. The Winters Package includes a three-course meal, half a bottle of wine per guest, a tasting day, evening food and a DJ. As evening guests arrive, the Ceremony Barn is transformed into the dancefloor, positioned beside the bar and lounge.
Exclusive use ensures only one wedding takes place each day. On site, the Bridal Cottage is included for the couple, featuring a king-size bed and ensuite. Eight additional double ensuite bedrooms are available across the 17th century Farmhouse and the Hop Picking Huts, with a continental breakfast served the following morning. The venue holds up to 150 for the day and 220 for the evening reception.
