About The Hall Barns at Prestwold
If you're after something a bit different for your big day, The Hall Barns at Prestwold might just be your dream venue. This cool, quirky exclusive-use spot is tucked away in the beautiful Leicestershire Wolds countryside near Loughborough - secluded enough to feel like your own private escape, but with scenery so stunning your photographer will be in their element.
You'll start your day in Laundry Cottage – a gorgeous self-catering space that sleeps up to 8, so you and your nearest and dearest can stay the night before. It's beautifully furnished, light and cosy at the same time, and the perfect spot for those getting-ready photos (you know, the ones with the champagne and the hair rollers).
When it's time for the ceremony, you'll head to the Crewyard – a lovely covered pavilion that's licensed for civil ceremonies. With its dreamy wooden beams and timber flooring, it seats up to 70 guests and creates such a romantic atmosphere for saying your vows.
Then comes the party! The rustic 19th-century barn is where you'll have your wedding breakfast and evening celebrations, and the natural light in here is absolutely incredible. There's room for up to 150 people to eat, drink and dance the night away, so if you're picturing a proper celebration rather than something stuffy and formal, this is your place.

Our Sustainability Commitments
The heating for The Hall Barns is principally supplied by biomass boilers. In addition, all surplus power from the Hall’s dedicated solar panels provides heat via heat exchangers to the hot water systems. The installed renewable systems are retrofitted to the existing oil and gas systems, which can still be used in an emergency. Almost 90% of the heat is now derived from renewable sources. All biomass is sourced from the estate and comprises either crop residues, such as wheat, straw or naturally fallen timber from the woodlands. Electricity is provided by a 50kw array of solar panels in the kitchen garden.
