About Thief Hall
Set in the North Yorkshire countryside, Thief Hall centres weddings around flexibility, time and exclusive use of the venue. The barn operates as a blank canvas space, allowing couples to shape the day entirely around their own plans, from catering and entertainment through to décor and styling choices, without set supplier restrictions.
Access begins at 10am the day before the wedding and continues until the day after celebrations finish, creating a three-day stay that allows time to set up, celebrate and spend extended time with family and friends. Exclusive use ensures the venue and surrounding grounds remain private throughout.
Ceremonies can take place onsite, with the venue licensed for indoor weddings as well as outdoor ceremonies overlooking the Yorkshire countryside. Music for the ceremony can be managed through the built-in sound system, with support provided before and during proceedings.
Venue hire includes the Bridal Suite along with practical elements already in place, including tables, chairs and linen, heating, Wi-Fi, parking, toilets, outside land, a fully stocked bar with staff, and an on-site master of ceremony. Wedding coordinators remain involved from booking through to the wedding stay itself, offering planning support throughout.
Catering is intentionally left open, allowing couples to appoint their own suppliers and design anything from a formal wedding breakfast to alternative dining styles. Additional onsite accommodation, including cottages and themed glamping pods, can be added for guests wishing to stay as part of the wider celebration.

You arrive two days before your wedding day ready to decorate the morning before your big day. All of the setting up will be done prior to your arrival and and the change over during the day is all done by the Thief Hall Team on your day.

Yes, Fireworks are extremely disruptive to our local farms as we are in a rural location not to mention the risk of field fires in the summer months meaning we do discourage them but if fireworks are something you could not see your wedding without we would contact our local residence and work with them to make this happen for you.

Yes, we have 6 cottages and 6 glamping pods sleeping up to 60 guests in total plus more on sofa/put up beds. There is so many local hotel options with Thirsk and Northallerton both only 5 miles away.

The round tables are 5ft and seat up to 10 guests and the rectangle tables are 6ft x 2ft and seat up to 4 on one side. We only have our ghost chiavari wedding chairs, choose your seat pads.
