About Worton Hall
Worton Hall stands within the Worton Park estate near Cassington in Oxfordshire, on the edge of the Cotswolds, about 15 minutes’ drive from Oxford city centre. The venue occupies a converted grain barn where three spaces - The Main Hall, the Cresswell Lounge and the Hayloft Gallery - open into a single flexible layout.
The mezzanine Hayloft Gallery can host civil ceremonies for up to 120 guests; once vows are complete, guests can move straight downstairs where the Main Hall is set up for the wedding breakfast. That hall seats up to 180 people for a sit-down meal and expands to hold up to 280 for the evening reception. The Cresswell Lounge houses a handcrafted solid oak bar and soft seating for relaxed conversation or additional guest experiences.
Worton Hall comes with fixtures such as flagstone floors, arrow-slit windows, medieval-style chandeliers and a canopy of fairy lights, and the open floor plan allows couples to tailor layouts across ceremony, meal and evening spaces. Couples can bring in external caterers subject to a fixed fee, or choose from preferred caterers listed by the venue.
The venue hire includes access to Stable Cottage for the couple on the wedding weekend; that cottage sleeps up to four. The onsite Farmhouse, sleeping 22, and several holiday lets nearby offer additional accommodation for family and friends. Worton Hall operates as an exclusive use venue so only one event is held at a time, and the team supports the day from ceremony through to evening celebrations.

Our Sustainability Commitments
The beating heart of Worton Park is the land upon which it’s founded. With the park made up of a rich tapestry of habitats including wetland, wildflower meadows and woodland, we are honoured to play host to an abundance of diverse flora and fauna. We truly believe in letting nature thrive around the park wherever possible - every nettle, wildflower, hawthorn or grass plays a vital roll in sustaining a thriving ecosystem by providing a much needed habitat and food source; allowing native species to flourish. With this in mind, protecting the land and wildlife around us is of the utmost priority and is therefore the reason that we do not allow public access on the park; always asking that people ensure they stick to the public footpaths that pass through the grounds. At Worton Hall itself, using renewable and sustainable energy sources is an integral element of our ethos. The heating for the park is generated using a combination of the biomass boiler (fuelled by locally sourced natural waste product), air source heat pumps and solar panels. We also encourage those on the site to choose greener transport methods with multiple EV charging ports on Worton Park.
Why Couples Recommend Worton Hall
Worton Hall is consistently praised by couples as a beautiful, elegant, and picturesque wedding venue. Its spacious, open-plan layout, which includes a versatile mezzanine level, is frequently highlighted for its adaptability, allowing for ceremonies, receptions, and relaxed chill-out or children's areas all within one space, comfortably accommodating larger guest numbers. A standout feature for many is the exceptional in-house team, described as incredibly supportive, professional, and organised. Their attentive communication and meticulous coordination from the initial planning stages to the wedding day itself are credited with creating a seamless and stress-free experience, making couples feel completely at ease. The venue is also celebrated for its flexibility, particularly the option to use external caterers, which is a significant advantage for multicultural weddings. Couples found the venue to offer excellent value, with many decorative items such as fairy lights, chandeliers, and centrepieces included in the hire price. The availability of beautiful on-site accommodation, including a large farmhouse and a bridal cottage, is considered a major convenience for the wedding party and guests. Furthermore, having access the day before the wedding for a relaxed setup contributes to the wonderful, stress-free atmosphere that makes the venue so highly recommended.
