About Coltsford Mill
Set within a 12-acre estate in the valley of the River Eden, Coltsford Mill is a waterside venue with landscaped gardens, two lakes, and waterfalls. The main building is a Grade II listed property, offering a tranquil setting for weddings and private events just 15 miles from London. As a family-run venue, the team provides dedicated attention, hosting around 60 weddings per year to ensure a personal approach for each couple.
Civil ceremonies and partnerships take place in one of two licensed spaces. The Mill Room can hold up to 95 guests and features the original 17th-century watermill workings, illuminated behind glass. For larger gatherings, the oak-framed Watermill Barn can seat up to 150 guests for a ceremony and dining, with space for 200 for an evening reception. The barn is equipped with audiovisual systems, air conditioning, and central heating, and adjoins a bar with a comfortable seating area. Couples have exclusive use of the venue and its grounds from 11 am on their wedding day until 10 am the following morning.
The in-house chefs provide all catering, with menus that range from canapés and multi-course wedding breakfasts to evening hog roasts or classic BBQs. Guests can also enjoy the grounds, which include the Willow and Mill Pools and a terrace with seating and patio heaters. A private bridal cottage with its own garden is available for the couple to get ready in before the ceremony and for an overnight stay. The venue is wheelchair accessible, and dogs are permitted to be part of the celebration.

Yes - Here at Coltsford Mill you will have exclusive use from 1100am on the day of your wedding till 1000am the following day .
Yes - Currently we have 2 rooms licensed The Mill room , a unique setting for your civil ceremony or partnership and is licensed for up to 95 guests. The Original 17th Century Mill workings are luminated behind glass., to create a stunning backdrop. For a larger wedding parties , our beautiful and contemporary Watermill Barn is licensed can sit up to 150 guests.
We are hoping that 2021 will see us being able to license a few outstanding areas of beauty , including our own island with a pond.
sorry your unable to supply your own wine. We feel that our prices are well balanced and we can supply any wine, beer or drinks of your choice.
No - we have our own dedicated Chef and staff who will cater for all your needs and budgets.
0900 am to decorate the venue ( contractors ) and access but the cottage is only available from 1100 am
