About Bailiffscourt Hotel & Spa
Set within the Sussex countryside, Bailiffscourt Hotel - and Chapel - provides a picture perfect backdrop for your special day. The medieval style Hotel is made up of a series of charming houses and cottages set in 30 acres of private grounds and gardens leading to Climping Beach, and offers an intimate and delightfully romantic setting. From a vintage afternoon tea wedding to a stunning winter wedding, an intimate wedding to a whirlwind one, we will do our best to make your dreams come true.
A unique and historical Hotel, Bailiffscourt has 39 bedrooms set within a medieval-style house, thatched houses and cottages. Within the gardens and grounds, an original 13th century chapel makes for a unique and truly romantic place for your wedding ceremony, or a blessing, and weather permitting, we have some lovely outdoor spaces available for ceremonies too.
Our Chapel, Card Room and Music Room are licenced for ceremonies with outdoor weddings available in our Rose Garden, Courtyard and Chapel Lawn.
Relax in our Hotel lounges and in front of roaring log fires, enjoy drinks in our inner rose-clad courtyard and explore our underground passageway. Enjoy time in our spa, with indoor and outdoor swimming pools, as well as our croquet lawn and tennis courts.
Bailiffscourt Hotel can also be taken on an Exclusive Use basis where you can enjoy being the only guests with the opportunity to style the hotel as you wish. We offer delicious three course wedding menus, prepared by our Chef and his team, using the finest locally sourced ingredients....or perhaps you prefer a vintage afternoon tea wedding. The choice is yours.

Yes - all 39 bedrooms, private lounges and rooms in the hotel as well as our 13th century chapel can be taken exclusively. Enjoy being the only guests with the opportunity to style the hotel as you wish.

Our beautiful Music Room is licenced for up to 65 guests. Guests can enjoy our rose garden, grounds or courtyard for wedding reception drinks and canapes. A marquee can be set up in our extensive grounds.
As a hotel, we supply a wide range of wines, award-winning Sussex sparkling wines and champagnes.
Our chef creates all the menu's - we use quality, locally sourced ingredients from Sussex on our menus.
We suggest at midnight, but guests staying in the hotel can continue to enjoy the bar.
