Our Customer Service Awards shine a spotlight on those who went above and beyond to deliver exceptional customer care throughout the year. When you are booking your wedding venue and suppliers, you want to choose trusted businesses that provide the best possible service to make sure that your special day is nothing short of amazing! All the businesses involved in the awards are nominated, shortlisted and judged by their reviews on Guides for Brides. On the 27th of March 2024, we revealed our award winners in a glamorous event at Oxford Town Hall.
Before we unveil the 2024 champions, we'd like to toast to all the Customer Service Award winners this year, along with those nabbing highly commended accolades, finalist spots, or making it onto the shortlist. You are a credit to the industry!

Our Customer Service Awards evening was also a fundraiser for our charity partners, Towards Recovery, and we would like to thank everyone that supported this wonderful charity, raising over £1400 during the event.
Each and every business that was shortlisted or named a finalist has really earned it, and we're inspired by how hard everyone has worked this past year! So, without further ado, let's announce the winners…
Beauty Hair and Make-Up
Lauren Cohen is our 2024 winner in this category. She received well over 70 5* reviews with glowing recommendations. Many reviews commented on her ability to help everyone feel at ease on such a nerve-wracking morning, listen well and of course deliver exactly what her customer wanted.
One bride said: "Lauren absolutely SMASHED my wedding hair and makeup. Nothing was too much trouble and she kept us all in check with timings. I felt so special and my hair and makeup was perfect. She listened to all my wants and adaptations from the trial and recommended extensions in the trial which made all the difference. I had 6 bridesmaids and she made all of them feel at ease and amazing about their hair, even two of them who are very particular due to curly hair types. Everyone looked and felt amazing. All I can say is thank you so so so much ❤️"
Bridal Wear
The winner for this category was Queen Bee Bridal. Kate's boutique was noted in many reviews for not only being a beautiful space, but for also helping brides feel welcome, excited and calm throughout the experience.
One reviewer said: "I had such an amazing and special experience at Queen Bee, one that both me and my mum (who came with me) will treasure forever. Kate made us both feel so welcome and relaxed and she offered such great advice too. Queen Bee Bridal is such a beautiful and special boutique in a stunning location and I am so happy to have found my dress here!! It was the first place I visited and I am so glad I did, it really is wonderful."
Cakes and Sweet Treats
No wedding celebration is complete without a delicious cake or tempting treats, and this year's winner was Sassy's Sugar Doughnuts.
One reviewers raved about the delicious doughnuts created by the team as well as exceptionally smooth service. One review reads: "Oh my god! I'm just SPEECHLESS! Sassy's are amazing. They made the most amazing Doughnut tower for my wedding. I've never been happier. The whole process was so smooth and such sweet, kind people! Thank you Sassy's, I'll be recommending you to everyone!"
Caterers
We all know that food is a major highlight of any wedding celebration. The winner of this category was Catering by Simon.
Reviews for Catering by Simon all noted the delicious meals but also the professionalism and flexibility of Simon and his team. One reviewer said: "Simon was brilliant! He was able to helpfully advise us on menus for our particular guest list and provided several options for those with dietary requirements. He was incredibly organised; always responsive to emails which gave us real peace of mind on the run up to our event. On the day, Simon was very professional and flexible with timings when we were slightly delayed. All our guests said that the food was wonderful and the staff were incredibly helpful and polite. We would definitely use him again."
Celebrants
This award identifies the wedding celebrant with the best customer service in 2023. The winner was Perfect Words Ceremonies. Nikki's clients raved about her effective and smooth process for creating their wedding ceremony as well as exceptional delivery on the day.
One couple wrote: "We chose Nikki as our wedding celebrant for our ceremony in September this year. From the very beginning she was supportive, informative and open to discussing different options, but also advising what other couples have done, when we got lost! Nikki took the time to get to know us as a couple, we felt in complete control of making our ceremony right for us. On the day itself we couldn't have been in safer hands, Nikki took charge of making sure everyone knew what they were doing and felt comfortable. She delivered a very personal and engaging ceremony, which so many of our guests commented on. Nikki, thank you for all you did to help us to envision exactly what ceremony we wanted and helping us deliver it on the day! Despite being late on probably every deadline you set us (sorry about that) you got us in shape for the day and left us with such wonderful memories."
Discos and DJ's
Now onto the award for best customer service in the Discos and DJ's Category. The winner for this category was The Wedding DJ's. In reviews, couples mentioned not only the wonderful atmosphere created by the team, but also how brilliant their customer care and support was on the build up to the big day.
One couple said: "Thank you so much for an amazing service. From the start of our booking process right through to the day and night itself you delivered an outstanding service, communication was great and it was so nice to receive the check in emails. The lighting was amazing and really created the perfect party mood. Our DJ on the day was so professional and made us feel so relaxed. Our guests have still raving about the playlist and we know one of our friends is going to book you so we will see you soon."
Live Music
The winner who provided exceptional customer care in 2023 for the Live Music category was Boujee Music. Their reviews mentioned great performances but also highlighted the team's effort in making sure their couples felt supported and in control throughout the planning.
One couple said: "It has been an absolute dream to work with Boujee Music! Of course, the music was incredible. We had so many compliments about the performances. Crimson & Keys set the perfect ceremony mood and everyone said how beautiful the singing was. In the evening, our guests couldn't get enough of Uptown Showdown. They were raving about our amazing band and how they had made the day. The DJ in between sets was fab too and helped keep the party going. The cherry on top was the customer service. We honestly couldn't have asked for better! Tim was fab in the build up and made some great suggestions (thanks for the DJ idea!) and Rachel was always checking in which was super reassuring. Thanks to everyone at Boujee Music for being so amazing throughout our time working with you and for smashing it out for the park on our big day ❤️"
Marquee & Tipi Hire
The winner for in the Marquee and Tipi Hire category was Forest Edge Tipis. Many of their reviews not only raved about the exceptional delivery but also complimented the support provided by the team on the build up to the day.
One reviewer said: "We hired four giant hats with an additional chill out tipi for our wedding on private land. Aimee and Martin were so helpful in the run up to the day and ensured everything was perfect for us. Aimee even offered to be around for the day to greet other suppliers and support in any way she could. We had the most amazing day and the terrible weather actually meant we used every inch of the tipis. I cannot count how many compliments we have had about them and we absolutely loved the atmosphere they gave."
Entertainment
Taking home the award for this category this year is Forte Entertainment. Oscar and team not only ensure their entertainment options are delivered to the highest standard, but reviews also noted the smooth booking process and how easy they were to work with on the day.
One review was left by a wedding venue: "We had a Wedding booked at our venue and one of the suppliers was Forte Entertainment, The bride booked them directly to supply a photo booth. As a venue we had to get in contact with them to discuss setup etc and from the first point of contact Harry was brilliant, I had explained i was concerned about the space and the size of the booth in which Harry suggested another booth which worked out perfectly for us. The service on the day was amazing both Harry and Oscar were so professional and we hope to work with them again in the Future!"
With competition fierce, there was also a highly commended award for this category as the scores were so tight. Freezeframe Photobooths were highly commended for their excellent customer care and smooth delivery.
Florists
The winner of the Florist category was Natural Creations. Sophie and her team were highlighted for going above and beyond for their clients with many reviews not only stating how wonderful the flowers were, but also how great they were to work with.
One bride said: "What can I say? Sophie was incredible throughout the entire wedding planning process and during the day itself - even saved the day with a mad rush back to her studio to get vases for the centre pieces when we left the originals at the hotel! The flowers were gorgeous and Sophie nailed my vision, I couldn't have asked for anything more. Would highly recommend."
Marquee Wedding Venue
The marquee venue category was won by High House Weddings in Essex, who were also East Of England Venue of the Year winners in the 2024 TWIA awards. Their marquee, which looks over vineyards, is being replaced with a glass pavilion next winter to allow for year-round weddings.
One reviewer said: "We can't thank you and your team enough for giving us the most amazing day. We've spent about 15 years talking about marriage so it was such a big decision for us to follow through and book a venue. High House felt right from the moment we watched the online tour and then was confirmed by the way in which we were greeted by Sam. She immediately made us feel comfortable in what felt like a very daunting but exciting chapter in our lives. As for Ella, there are no words. She's one of a kind. The support in which she gave us was far beyond our expectations. Thank you so much to all of the High House team and not forgetting Valentine's for their food. We felt we took a risk with our choice of food but it paid off and was the best decision we made. Every element of the meal was amazing. We're hoping for an invite to High House as a guest in the future so we can experience this again from a guests prospective. Truly amazing!"
Menswear
The menswear supplier who provided the best customer service in 2023 was Luciano's Suits. Luca has been commended for his exceptional service and his eye for fashion and detail in his reviews.
One groom said: "Everyone thought I was mad when I said I was getting married in a green velvet tuxedo, but what a brilliant decision it was.. Well worth the money! A suit I will treasure forever! If the missus gets a nice dress, fellas, treat yourself to a proper suit too.. at Lucianos!"
Mother of the Bride
Taking home the top prize in this category was Charisma of Fawley. Mums left glowing reviews about the Charisma team with many highlighting exceptional quality, professional service and the team's eye for detail.
One review said: "I had been really struggling to find an outfit for my eldest daughters wedding until I found Charisma. This place is amazing. They have such a vast selection to choose from and the service is great. I will definitely be going back next year to choose another outfit when my youngest daughter gets married next year. Five star treatment and a much needed honest opinion - thank you."
Photography
The winner for this category was The Jasmine Cottage Studio. Lindsey was highlighted by couples for her warm and friendly personality as well as going above and beyond to support them on the big day.
One reivew said: "Lindsay at The Jasmine Cottage Studio is just a dream to work with. I'm so glad we booked her for our wedding photography - including a pre wedding photoshoot & our wedding stationery. From the very first email Lindsay was the most friendly and amazing lady! She listened to every single detail we talked about, replied to every one of my many many emails & every meet up was like seeing an old friend. Our wedding photos are just incredible and something we will cherish forever. Our stationary was perfect and everything we had hoped for. Lindsay is an incredible wedding supplier and one I would recommend time and time again. 💕"
Photography is always a competitive category and with so many excellent suppliers we also had a highly commended award given. This was given to Sam & Steve Photography for their many exceptional reviews.
Wedding Planners
Couples are looking for wedding planners who can provide expert knowledge and exceptional customer service. The wedding planner with the best customer service in 2023 was Sallieann Weddings. Couple's raved about her expertise, calm demeanour and excellent service.
One bride wrote: "Our wedding – December 2023 – Sallieann organised our wedding at The King's Chapel , Old Amersham in December 2023. She couldn't have been more helpful! We planned it at very short notice but this did not faze Sallieann in the slightest. She made really helpful suggestions, was always available at short notice and was a very calming person to have around! Sallieann has a wealth of knowledge and experience and is a wonderfully warm person! We highly recommend!"
Wedding Jewellery
Every wedding journey starts with the ring, and there is so much symbolism held in wedding jewellery. The business that took home the awards for this category was Lover's Rock. Couple's highlighted how friendly the team were, their expertise and the great service they received.
One reviewer wrote: "We had an excellent experience buying an engagement ring and wedding bands through Lover's Rock. Tom is really knowledgeable and was able to help advise us on picking the perfect rings for us. We really appreciated having a private appointment at his studio to take our time trying on lots of different rings and asking any questions. We would definitely recommend Lover's Rock to anyone looking for engagement or wedding rings."
This category also had a highly commended, the highly commended for this years awards was Quicksilver Jewellery. Rosie and team were noted for their exceptional wedding ring making experience in Laugharne, Wales. Especially for their knowledge and expertise working with the metals.
Stationery
These finalists are those who have gone above and beyond to ensure that their customers' wedding stationery needs are met with both professionalism and care. The business that took home the award for this category was Mint Lettering. Many customers talked about the beauty of Michelle's work and her great service in delivery.
One happy customer said: "Thank you so much Michelle - the hangers are BEAUTIFUL. All of it, the beautiful writing on the box, how carefully and beautifully they are individually wrapped, all of it, stunning. We are over the moon. Your service and quality are incredible."
Toastmasters
The Toastmaster with the best customer service in 2023 was Patrick Collins Toastmaster. Couples and venues raved about Patrick's professionalism on the build up to and the big day itself.
One couple said: "A lot of people asked if we had known Patrick for a while and I thought this was so lovely because (as predicted) we knew he would throw himself into the wedding. Our guests loved him and more importantly so did we (were just hoping the feeling was mutual and he had a nice time because I'm not sure we left him alone haha!) We had lots of highlights throughout the day but we have to say having Patrick as our toastmaster was one of our favourite parts.... Thank you Thank you Thank you!"
Transport
Punctuality and professionalism are key on your wedding day, and couples raved about our winner, Fiat 500, for delivering this and more for them on the big day.
One groom left a glowing review: "We wanted to say thank you for joining us on our wedding day and providing a car for Lucy and her dad. The car was a surprise to Lucy and her bridal party and you were friendly and supportive from the moment you arrived. The car was beautiful and was the perfect addition to our wedding day. Thank you for letting us take pictures with the car after the ceremony. Thank you again for everything, we are very grateful!"
Venue Decor & Finishing Touches
Next up we have the businesses that provide Venue Decor & Finishing Touches. Our judges found that the business with the best customer service in 2023 for this category was Shropshire Petals who provide dried petal confetti, flower girl baskets and dried flowers for the wedding party. Couples raved about the fast delivery, quality product, the many options available and the great service!
One review said: "Shropshire Petals supplied the confetti for my wedding as well as the flower girl basket and petals. The team were so helpful helping me to select the right mix for the effect I wanted to achieve. I placed my order in July and the confetti was put on delayed delivery which was really convenient; it meant that it arrived in good time for my big day but I didn't have a massive box of confetti to store in my house for long. Super happy with the service and the product. Thanks to all the team at Shropshire Petals!"
Videography
The videographer with the best customer service in 2023 was Video Studio Alex Videography and Photography. Couples complimented the excellent quality of their wedding video, the friendliness of the team and the fast service and delivery.
Once couple said: "Wow, do not look anywhere else for a videographer! The team were incredible on our wedding day, they made both me, my husband and wedding party feel very comfortable when filming. Looking back at our wedding video, it really is as if we can re-live the day. From picking the backing music of the video, to answering questions, Our wedding video is amazing, the quality of the sound and video is outstanding!!"
Honeymoons
Celebrating and relaxing together as newlyweds is important, especially after the stress of wedding planning! There was one stand out business in this award category and this was Tredwell Travel. Rachel has been recognised in reviews for her exceptional communication, great choices for her couples and her ability to solve any problem.
One happy honeymooner said: "Rachel arranged our honeymoon and she couldn't have done a better job. We followed her recommendations and advice and it led us to absolute paradise. She was also incredibly helpful and communicative which made the process super easy and stress-free. We're immediately using Rachel for another trip so that probably says all you need to know!"
Weddings Abroad
The winner of this category was Exclusive Yacht Weddings Cyprus. Couples not only commented on the great venue options and smooth service, but also how prompt the team were in supporting them when they had questions or needed help.
One couple said: "Thank you to all the team, especially Mel, for the continued contact in making sure our day was so special. Nothing was ever too much trouble every email answered quickly. We had an amazing time and would totally and highly recommend Exclusive yacht weddings to anyone wishing to get married in Cyprus. The whole experience of having a wedding coordinator ran smoothly. All of our guests had a fabulous time and it will always be a day we will never forget Also, the whole day was such good value compared to the cost of getting married in the UK, with no guarantee of great weather like in Cyprus. The barn wedding venue that had the best customer service in 2023 was Rackleys Chiltern Hills. The team at Rackleys were recognised for their exceptional professionalism, amazing delivery on the wedding day and great support they provided to the couples getting married there.
One reviewer said: "Well, what can I say? You were all magnificent! I can't fault anything, you and your team were really amazing in the lead up & especially on the day of Holly & James's wedding. Everywhere looked beautiful. The brides room & conference room were just perfect for getting ready in, with so many bridesmaids! Your waiting staff were really on it the whole time, topping up, clearing up, quick, professional, polite & friendly. Thank you all so much 😊"
There was also a highly commended for this category which went to Winters Tale Country Barn. Their reviews highlighted a professional and friendly service that couples really loved!
Boutique Wedding Venue
Boutique Wedding venues are often stylish spaces that are brought to life by the customer service provided by the staff at all levels. The winner of this category was The Spread Eagle Hotel. Many couples left long and raving reviews about the team, the food, the rooms and the atmosphere at the venue.
One couple wrote: "We had our wedding at the Spread Eagle at the end of April 2023 and what a wedding it was. We cannot thank Erica and the team at the Spread Eagle enough for their professionalism, support and absolute commitment to helping us make our day as special as it was. From day 1 the support we had was phenomenal. Nothing was too much and they all made us feel so welcome. I also loved that my friends and family could all stay at the hotel, which most of us did for 2 nights and was able to dine in their restaurant the night before the wedding, which made it all extra special. If you are looking for a wedding venue, large or small then look no further, the Spread Eagle has it all."

The winner of this category was Lambeth Assembly Hall. This is a dry hire reception venue in East London and couples raved about the quick and friendly service of the team and the venue's flexibility, especially highlighting the professionalism of Lianne and Lucy at the venue.
Here is a snippet from one exceptionally glowing review: "We had our multicultural wedding & reception at Lambeth Town Hall in April 2023, and Lianne & the venues team were essential in making our day a success. We explored various locations, and wanted to find a dry hire venue so that we could bring in our own catering and host a fully vegan wedding. Lambeth Town Hall provided everything we needed and was an excellent fit with our values. Lianne was very helpful by sharing options, costs & information proactively to get things underway. We asked Lianne & team many questions over the months leading to the event, and she always responded with patience & understanding. When there were limitations, Lianne quickly provided workarounds and other recommendations to help."
With so many businesses providing exceptional customer care in this category, there was also a highly commended award which went to The Adelphi Hotel. The team at this venue were noted for being friendly, attentive and professional in their delivery of weddings.
Countryside Wedding Venue
Countryside venues are set within gorgeous grounds that have couples in awe of their fabulous surroundings of countryside and rolling hills. The winner for this category was Berwick Lodge, a Bristol based venue that couples highlighted for being wonderful from start to finish, friendly and delivering exactly what they wanted on their big day.
One review reads: "As all the other reviews say, where to start? From the initial viewing to the day of the wedding was almost exactly 3 months, so not a lot of time! Georgia was incredible, even to the point of arranging an emergency appointment with the registrar so we had enough time to give notice. The build up was professional, organised but also relaxed given the timeframe, which put everyone at ease. The day itself was everything we could have asked for a lot more on top. Comments from many guests included “best wedding venue I have been too”, “incredible day and wedding” and “absolutely everything was on point”. I cannot imagine how anyone could be disappointed with having their wedding at Berwick Lodge. Thank you to all the staff, you were amazing"
Golf and Members Club
The venue taking home the award for this category was East Sussex National. Couple's talked about the team's friendly demeanour in reviews as well as their ability to deliver on their big days.
One couple said: "East Sussex National is a very special place to us, hence why we knew it would be the perfect wedding venue. When we first met with Beth and the wedding team, we immediately knew it was the right decision. They made everything so easy and seamless. Nothing was ever too much trouble. We got sent all the info we needed well in advance so we knew how things would look like on the day and they gave us such good recommendations and suggestions that we hadn't thought of that just added that extra touch of special-ness. On the day, it was all hands on deck and I was watching all the staff and how they took such care and precision when preparing the wedding breakfast room. Everyone was so polite and gracious. I honestly don't know how it could have been any better. We would definitely recommend this venue if you want beautiful settings, attention to detail and staff who go above and beyond. Thanks ESN. Historic Wedding Venue
For couples looking to be surrounded by grandeur and elegance, there is nothing better than a historic wedding venue. The winner who had top-notch customer service was The Kings Chapel (Kings Arms Hotel) especially being noted for their seamless delivery and attentive team.
Here's a glowing review of the venue: "Our wedding took my breath away. There was not a second that Kiera and her team were not working so so hard to make it run smoothly and look beautiful. Not a single hitch, everything looked unbelievable. The service was exceptional and the respect we were shown was off the scale. Everything from music to lighting, decoration to food to drinks to clearing away was amazing. We have no words. Our vision was met beyond our wildest dreams and when those doors opened I couldn't believe it was the same place that we viewed (which was already beautiful). Just stunning. And that party. Perfection. Thank you so much to KS and Kiera for their support and hard work over the past year, especially as things got closer and we were especially needy. With such high guest numbers, a smooth service and excellent customer care is imperative. The winner for Large Wedding Venues was The Best Western Plus Manor Hotel Meriden. The team at this venue were noted for being friendly, managing the experience beautifully and delivering exceptional weddings.
One review said: "We can't speak highly enough of the team over at the Manor Hotel! Our day was perfect from start to finish and our guests were so well looked after. Everyone left saying what a great night it was. Thank you to the whole team for their dedication from enquiry to delivery, it was amazing!!"
There was also a highly commended award for this category which went to Balmer Lawn Hotel & Spa. The team at this venue in Hampshire were praised for their great dedication to their couples, friendly service and seamless experiences.
Manor Wedding Venue
The venue that came out on top in the Manor Wedding Venue category goes to West Heath Sevenoaks. The team at the venue were highlighted for giving couples a great experience from showround to last dance and couples praised not only the venue spaces but the service provided too.
One couple said: "We had an amazing wedding Reception at West Heath! We fell in love with the venue from the first time we saw it and knew it was where we wanted to get married. It was also important to us that proceeds from the wedding go towards supporting vulnerable children at the school. The staff at West Heath, and especially Claire, were really helpful and ensured that the day ran smoothly. Claire offered a really personal service and made sure that any requests we asked for were able to happen. The winner of this category was The Crown & Thistle, renowned for its eclectic atmosphere and incredible attention to detail. It's no wonder why couples love celebrating their big day at this wonderful venue.
One exemplary review said: "We had our wedding at The Crown and Thistle, and couldn't have picked a better venue. Gavin looked after our wedding for the day, he made it run so smoothly and added such an amazing atmosphere to the day. The food served at the venue is amazing and we had so many compliments from our guests too. If we had to redo the day, we would pick this venue time and time again. Could not be happier with how our wedding day went and how amazing this venue and team are!"
Small Hotel Wedding Venue
These venues are perfect for intimate weddings with close friends and family. Taking home the winner's awards for this category was the William Cecil Hotel. Providing a dog friendly space, incredible cuisine and a professional team that will tend to your every need, the William Cecil Hotel sets a perfect example for delivering consistent and impeccable customer care.
One couple said: "The venue is stunning, full of character and charm. In a great location in the beautiful town of Stamford. The team are brilliant and enabled us to personalise the wedding to us, our tastes and ideas. The food was delicious and the highest quality. The same can be said for the drinks! Guests commented it was the best wedding they had ever been to. We had the most perfect day and couldn't be happier! The bridal suite is just WOW! Can't fault anything about the venue, we have nothing but praise and wish we could do it all over again!"
Stately Homes, Castles and Mansions

From the impressive facades to the intricate details inside, each one is a breathtaking masterpiece that has to be matched with impressive customer service. The winner of this category was Broome Park, renowned for providing quality food and impeccable service. The team at Broome Park understand that no two weddings are the same, and work tirelessly to ensure that your wedding is a day that is truly special.
One of many reviews that exemplifies the amazing customer care delivered at Broome Park said: "The Perfect Day! It was the best day we could have hoped for. I felt like royalty getting married at Broome Park. It was the first wedding venue I viewed and instantly fell in love. Joy and Victoria were the perfect co-ordinators, from every meeting to finalise details, to on the big day with the attentiveness and bringing everything together. The venue is stunning and was so happy to be able to get married in the gardens, the ceremony was just magical. The Georgian Room was gorgeous with large bay windows and high ceilings. The guests raved about how nice the food was, the wedding breakfast and buffet in the evening. I can't thank Joy and Victoria enough, and highly recommend them and Broome Park! Good value for money, delicious food, beautiful setting, amazing staff!"

The team at this beautiful venue in South Gloucestershire were praised for delivering exceptional customer care, being on hand to answer any questions you may have and offering flexible packages so you can celebrate your wedding in just the way you imagined it to be!

The venues in this category all offer a space that features a beautiful lakeside, coastal or riverside setting that their couples adore. The winner in this category who provided excellent customer service was Rushpool Hall, with two amazing lakes and both indoor and outdoor ceremonies to provide the perfect backdrop for a wedding celebration. It's clear to see why couples are raving about this wonderful venue.

They explained everything in great detail on our tour before booking. This was the first venue we looked at and we knew it was the one.
