About Kings Chapel (Kings Arms Hotel)

Kings Chapel in Old Amersham is a fully licensed venue for civil ceremonies and also offers celebrant-led ceremonies, a short walk from St Mary’s Church of England. Set at 30 High Street, Old Amersham, it forms part of the Old Amersham Hotels group and works closely with The Kings Arms.

Weddings here are offered on a bespoke basis rather than through set packages, allowing each couple to shape the day around their plans. Exclusive venue hire includes access for 24 hours, a dedicated wedding planner and a wedding preparation room. The chapel is dressed with round or long banqueting tables, Chiavari-style chairs, white tablecloths and napkins, crockery, cutlery and glassware. Decorative details such as hurricane vases with pillar candles, mirror-plated centrepieces, an easel for the seating plan and a cake stand and knife are included, along with a PA system for background music and a portable Bluetooth speaker. Banqueting staff, door supervisors and VAT are covered within venue hire.

Food and drink options range from canapés and a three-course wedding breakfast to alternative menus including barbecue, hog roast, Champagne afternoon tea and Mediterranean tapas. Evening catering options include wood-fired pizza, mini fish and chip cones, classic buffet, paella and sharing cheese boards.

On-site accommodation is available at The Kings Arms, with 34 bedrooms, and additional rooms at The Crown Inn further along the High Street. When booking a wedding, 20 bedrooms are guaranteed, including a complimentary Honeymoon Suite and four bedrooms above the bar, enabling a late bar at The Kings Arms until 2am when those rooms are occupied.
