Gemma and James first met at school and had been together for six lovely years before James popped the question. Two years later, they tied the knot in an October wedding at The Notley Tythe Barn in Buckinghamshire. Find your dream barn wedding venue here!
The Venue
Gemma and James chose The Notley Tythe Barn as they wanted a rustic wedding venue that would suit their autumnal theme. They decorated the venue with fairy lights and had pinecones and leaves on the tables. The tables were named after different trees to fit in with the autumn theme, and a decorative table was also made up with pumpkins.Â
The Fashion
Gemma wore a stunning A-line wedding dress with full-length lace sleeves and a sparkly belt. Her five bridesmaids wore navy maxi dresses with a gorgeous sequin design on the neck and shoulders. James and his groomsmen opted for navy suits with white shirts and burnt orange ties to fit in with their October wedding. Gemma's two beautiful flower girls wore white sequin dresses with a cardigan over the top.Â
The Food
The wedding breakfast began with a selection of canapés followed by chicken wrapped in cheese with vegetables on the side. They finished off the meal with a dessert of chocolate brownies and Eton mess. Gemma and James also spoilt their guests with a naked sponge wedding cake decorated with strawberries and gypsophila to match her bouquet of gypsophila and roses.Â
Their Favourite Part
Gemma and James loved their whole wedding day, but Gemma did have a few favourites. The moment she saw James's face as she walked down the aisle can't be beaten. She also loved looking back at her nine month old daughter smiling at her. To top the day off, Gemma had a very special father and daughter dance before everyone danced the night away with their DJ.Â
