Ana and Satveer had a gorgeous British Asian and Spanish fusion wedding ceremony at Davenport House in Shropshire, surrounded by their closest friends and family. Their special day beautifully blended two cultures in a celebration of love.
The Proposal
Satveer planned a surprise proposal for Ana while they were buying a home together. She came up with a white lie, saying that the new house came with a box for their house key. Satveer made a box with their names and the proposal date engraved. When Ana looked in the box, she was greeted by an engagement ring. Exactly four years since the day they first met, Satveer proposed to Ana in broken Spanish on the steps of their new home.
The Venue
Davenport House is located in the Shropshire countryside, which Ana and Satveer loved. This location allowed their day to feel intimate and secluded but not unreachable. Ana and Satveer were looking for an accommodating and welcoming venue, so when they found Davenport House and experienced the warm atmosphere and saw the natural beauty of the building, it was a no-brainer!
Davenport House has the availability of onsite cottages, which enabled their guests to stay together comfortably. Having a cottage the night before their wedding took a lot of stress away from Ana and Satveer for the wedding morning. The accommodation allowed them to share precious memories stress free and get ready in the same location but uphold the tradition of staying separated before the ceremony.
The grounds surrounding the charming country house are beautifully manicured which makes for wonderful photographs. Walking into the House, the sweeping staircase and pillars at the entrance radiate elegance and sophistication. Tucked away from the main house is The Hidden Pavilion, a marquee which allowed Ana and Satveer's guests to get fresh air and step away from the celebrations, without getting soaked by the rain.
Their whole day was beautifully captured by Phil Barrett of PbArtWorks, who caught the special moments throughout the celebrations, creating fond memories that Ana and Satveer can look back on over and over again.

Ana chose to wear a white wedding dress that she designed herself! Her drop earrings, which she purchased from Etsy, beautifully complimented her updo hairstyle. Ana's gold bracelet was gifted to her by her grandma, which tied in really well to Satveer's gold embellishments on her Lehenga.
Satveer wore a traditional Indian Lehenga in a gorgeous deep green shade. The Lehenga was hand embroidered with the most beautiful patterns and floral design. The gold thread and vibrant pops of red complimented her traditional wedding bangles and jewellery.
The Wedding Party
The couple decided not to have bridesmaids and groomsmen, but in fact everyone was part of their wedding party!
Satveer's brother walked her down the aisle, wearing a very suave dark green velvet blazer to match her Lehenga. His bright pink buttonhole perfectly paired with Satveer's colourful bouquet.
Both brides were able to walk down the aisle from separate entrances, meaning they both had that all-important moment in the spotlight.
Ana's father walked her down the aisle, wearing a navy blue suit from Hackett. This added to their vibrant, dynamic colour palette, which I'm sure you can agree brings so much positivity and energy to their wedding decor.
Ana's bouquet had a pastel colour scheme of pink, green and white, a contrast to Satveer's bouquet but this allowed both of their personalities to shine through in their choices.
The Wedding Breakfast
The Dining Room at Davenport House was beautifully lit by twinkling chandeliers, with natural light flooding in through the large windows. Ana and Satveer's timeless colour scheme of creams, sage greens and pastels blended in perfectly with the elegant green wall panelling. The hints of gold details with the gold cutlery accompanied both of the brides outfits really well, tying in the decor to their wedding looks.
The couple and their guests enjoyed a delicious meal catered by Davenport House, with canapes, a three-course meal, a cheeseboard in the evening and kebabs cooked fresh outside in the Hidden Pavilion!
Satveer said:
"Davenport were fantastic in catering for dietary requirements including those who were gluten free, nut allergies and a very specific diet for grandma. Nothing was too much!"
The Entertainment
To Ana's surprise, Satveer had arranged for the Tailors Surprise Singers to serenade her and their guests during the wedding breakfast!
The party didn't end there! Everyone danced the night away with the help of Synergy's DJ, the perfect end to their perfect day.
