About Davenport House

Sip the finest champagne as you promenade around the beautiful gardens of Davenport House, newly married and completely in Love. Davenport House is an exclusive-use, timeless and luxurious Country House, set within the beautiful, vast, Shropshire countryside. When you get married at Davenport House, a dedicated and professional wedding planner stands by your side.
Entering this great house through the magnificent double doors, you might choose to say ‘I do’ in The Great Hall. At the very heart of the home, this is the perfect place in which to say your vows. You can also tie the knot in another of the great rooms, or amongst the stunning grounds and gardens.
The Great Hall leads through to the beautiful Saloon with its marquetry floor. It is here that you might enjoy welcome drinks and canapés along with breathtaking views over the lawns beyond. Outside, the terrace, lily pond and secluded secret garden provide a sublime setting in which to mingle on warmer days.
Luring your guests in to dine, The Dining Room features original panelling painted in elegant ‘tea green’. And, as day turns to evening, The Great Hall becomes your dance floor, while guests might also choose to relax in The Saloon or The Dining Room.
Nine luxurious en-suite bedrooms are located in the main house, while four cottages in the grounds offer ample accommodation for up to 42 guests. A further cottage is offered as your bridal preparation area. From intimate to lavish, and from contemporary style to the more traditional, Davenport House is your country estate that can make your dream wedding a reality.

We don't offer a corkage option, however we can adapt any drinks package to suit your requirements for your wedding day.
We have our own in house catering team and if you are looking at Asian or other authentic cuisines we are also partnered with 3 reputable caterers.
The Wedding Reception will come to an end at 12am along with the bar and music.
The noise restrictions if you have a live wedding band is set to 92 decibels.
We do not allow fireworks for your wedding. Sparklers are allowed.
Yes - Biodegradable petals or real petals is allowed as confetti for your wedding.
Yes, candles for the lanterns and fireplaces are supplied by Davenport House and included in your venue hire - please talk to your wedding planner.
Yes, Davenport House has an exclusive bridal suite - the perfect room to retire to after celebrating your wedding day.
Yes, Davenport has 9 beautiful bedrooms in the house and 5 Character cottages in the grounds and can currently sleep up to 40 of your wedding guests. We can also supply beds for children in the rooms or cottages.
