About Davenport House
Davenport House sits in Shropshire as a Grade I-listed Georgian country house restored and managed for weddings and celebrations. Exclusive hire begins at midday on the day of the wedding and continues to the following morning, giving couples and their guests access to the entire house, gardens and grounds for civil ceremonies, receptions and the wedding breakfast.
Indoor and outdoor ceremony options are available, with a maximum civil ceremony capacity of 150 and evening reception capacity up to 200.
A cottage dedicated to wedding preparations is available from the afternoon before the wedding, letting those in the wedding party gather before the main event, and a honeymoon suite with a private dressing room is part of the overnight arrangements. Accommodation across the estate for up to 40 guests includes en-suite bedrooms within the house and cottages set in the grounds.
The house has spaces used throughout a wedding day, from rooms for welcome drinks and dining to areas where guests can circulate across lawns and terrace beside the lily pond after a ceremony. Tables, chairs, ceremony set-up and planning support are included with exclusive hire, and a professional wedding planner works with couples to organise timings and arrangements.
