As the newest wedding offering from the award-winning Ashridge House, this beautifully restored barn is steeped in over 700 years of history and blends rustic character with stylish simplicity. Choose how you use each of the beautiful spaces throughout the day, from an intimate ceremony in the Fernery, bathed in natural light, to a relaxed drinks reception in the historic Monks Garden. Monks Barn itself provides a warm, rustic setting for your three-course wedding breakfast and evening celebrations. Just outside, a stretch tent offers a cosy, open-air spot for guests to mingle and unwind as the evening unfolds, while music and dancing continue inside the barn. From 2026 the newly renovated Coach House will join the Monks Barn offering. This light-filled, characterful space is perfect for ceremonies, wedding breakfasts, and dancing. With its blend of rustic charm and timeless style, it’s another beautiful setting to celebrate your day, your way.

Great food is at the heart of every celebration at Monks Barn. We partner with Kingfisher Caterers, one of the leading names in the Home Counties, to bring you a menu that’s as memorable as the setting. From your first tasting to the final course, their team will work closely with you to create a menu that feels personal, seasonal, and full of flavour.
Your package includes a beautifully prepared three-course wedding breakfast, with the option to add canapés or late-night bites. For a more laid-back evening vibe, why not bring in a food truck and treat your guests to something a little unexpected?
