FAQs
Yes! We are licensed for civil ceremonies both inside and outdoors. Inside, we have a stunning Ceremony Room within our Manor House with views of the gardens and terrace.
Of course, we have a lovely wedding arbour outside which creates a beautiful spot for your ceremony.
We would charge corkage if you wanted to bring in your own wine.
External caterers is something that we allow yes, however we recommend that they are off our external caterers list. However, we are happy to review any other caterers as well.
This is subject to availability. If we have no event taking place in the room the day before then you are more than welcome to set up then; however should there be an event in the day before then we would allow you access on the morning of the wedding (potentially the evening before subject to the previous event's finish time).
Our licence expires at midnight so the reception and bar will close then.
Unfortunately we do not allow fireworks as we are surrounded by farmland.
We do allow confetti yes, providing it is biodegradable.
Little tea lights in the room are permitted but unfortunately not large candles. We can allow battery operated candles however.
Yes, we have three bridal suites in our main manor house if you wish to upgrade. Our standard package includes an Executive Suite.
We have 160 bedrooms onsite here at the hotel. So plenty of rooms for your family and friends to stay!
There other hotels around, we are only 20 minutes away from central Milton Keynes where many hotels can be located if your guests wanted to stay elsewhere.
Unfortunately no we do not have an exclusive use option as we are a large hotel.
Weddings at Horwood, for approx 80 day and 120 evening guests, for the ceremony, breakfast and reception average £15,000
Our Sustainability Commitments
We recently worked within the hospitality industry with Plastic v Planet, housing our own bees, encouraging pollination, replacing plastic door keys, door hangers, and pens with sustainable bamboo alternatives. After being recognised with a Silver Award in the Greengage Certification, we are now looking to expand this initiative further.
