About Winters Tale Country Barn

Winters Tale Country Barn sits within the grounds of a 17th-century farmhouse in the Buckinghamshire countryside. The barn was designed and built to be a bright, spacious venue with a vaulted ceiling and timber features that reflect the hay barn that stood on this land a century ago. Its interior includes mood lighting and a sound system already in place.

Couples have access to the whole venue and grounds exclusively from the afternoon before the wedding until the morning after. There are extensive gardens, a large semi-permanent marquee adjoining the barn, and a courtyard that link with flexible ceremony and reception areas. The venue is licensed for civil ceremonies both indoors and outdoors.

On the wedding day, couples can decorate the barn and marquee as they choose. The site includes a fully stocked bar with card and cash facilities and an additional cocktail bar on the gallery level. A hidden lounge area adjacent to the bar provides relaxed seating separate from the main celebration spaces.

Accommodation is included on the night of the wedding in two on-site barns. Ember Eve Barn is a one-bedroom cottage with an oak four-poster bed, Victorian bathroom and balcony. Harvest Moon Barn offers open-plan living and kitchen space with traditional furnishings. Access for setting up décor is available the afternoon before the wedding day.
