About The Oak Tree of Peover
The Oak Tree of Peover occupies an oak-framed barn and estate in Lower Peover on the edge of Knutsford, set within roughly 30 acres of private grounds in the Cheshire countryside. The venue’s structure incorporates exposed timber and large windows that bring daylight into its interiors; two indoor rooms – the Ladybird Room and the Acorn Room – are licensed for civil ceremonies, and an Outdoor Pavilion also holds a civil licence for weddings outside.
Couples have exclusive use of the site from mid-morning until late evening, and within the venue there is space to move from ceremony into wedding breakfast and evening celebrations without relocating guests. Indoor licensed spaces offer the setting for ceremonies and meals under one roof; in warmer months an outdoor option in the Pavilion expands where vows can take place.
The indoor areas are designed around oak framing and natural light. The venue provides a licensed bar and facilities for dining and entertainment.
Preparation spaces are available on site for both parties to use before the ceremony, and there is parking for guests on the estate

Yes, both our indoor rooms - the Ladybird Room & the Acorn room are licensed for Civil Ceremonies. For those wanting an outdoor ceremony, our Outdoor Pavilion is also Licensed for Civil Ceremonies.
Yes, we have a beautiful outdoor pavilion which is licensed for Civil Ceremonies. We also have a sound system for outdoors so your music can be played during the ceremony.
We do not offer a corkage option but have an extensive wine list available, and we are happy to discuss any beverages you wish for us to get hold of, prior to your day.
Unlike most venues, we have several approved caterers to choose from all offering a variety of different menu options to suit every style and budget.

Due to our location and becoming more eco-friendly, we no longer offer Fireworks at our venue. Many Couples opt for Sparklers, which create a lovely picture opportunity once it gets dark!
We do not have a sound limiter on site, however we do ask that all music is brought inside the venue from 10:00pm to be respectful to our neighbours. No outdoor music to be played past 10:00pm.
Yes, confetti is allowed. It must be dried or real petals only.
Yes, real candles are allowed but we ask that they are non-drip and contained in a vase or votive.
We do not have any onsite accommodation, however, we have an extensive list of nearby B&B's, hotels & cottages that we can recommend. There is something for every budget!
We have both a 'Loft Room' and 'The den', where both partners can get ready and prepare for their day in. Please Note: This is not an overnight accommodation.

The 30 acres of land surrounding The Oak Tree of Peover are home to a wealth of wildlife. It is important to us to not only accommodate this, but encourage it to keep thriving for future generations to enjoy. Each year we leave acres of land untouched to allow nature to flourish and to protect the habitats of local wildlife. Our wilderness meadow encourages local biodiversity and is home to plenty of bees, butterflies and other insects. We work with our local, handpicked caterers who see the value of sourcing local, high quality and seasonal fresh produce. This sustainable sourcing also enables food transportation emissions to be reduced. Our Acorn Bar boasts a diverse selection of wines, spirits, beers, and cocktails, with emphasis on sourcing local and British brands that prioritize environmental responsibility. We take pride in offering high-quality, eco-conscious options while providing a personalized touch.

When I joined The Oak Tree back in 2018, I was taken on as a coordinator & bar team member and worked my way up through the business. I have now been deputy manager for over 6 years, and it has been amazing to see how the venue has grown and adapted over my time here. Our team is small but mighty and work alongside each other to ensure our couples have the wedding day they have always dreamed of.
