About Bourton Hall

Bourton Hall sits on a ridge with views over rolling Warwickshire countryside near Rugby. An 18th-century Italianate-style country house, it offers exclusive use of the mansion, former Catholic chapel and grounds for weddings. The chapel’s ornate carved wood and gold leaf ceiling frames indoor ceremonies, and on warmer days couples may choose to marry beneath the portico adjoining the front terrace.

After the service, guests can gather for drinks in the Chandelier or Champagne Bar before moving through the Italianate Gallery and into the Banqueting Hall, where up to 120 people can dine with views across the valley. Later celebrations take place in the Draycote Bar & Disco.

Set within gardens, woodland and parkland spanning around 15 acres, the house has a large reception hall with a feature staircase flooded with natural light from glass cupolas. Period features and original ceilings are found throughout the ground-floor spaces used during weddings. Accommodation is available on site with 21 bedrooms, including the Lady Bourton Honeymoon Suite with dressing room and en-suite bathroom. The Gatekeeper’s Cottage provides space for members of the wedding party the night before. Couples work with a Personal Wedding Manager from Bourton Hall’s in-house team to plan elements such as catering and the flow of the day. The combination of indoor and outdoor settings, exclusive use and on-site accommodation defines how weddings at Bourton Hall are structured.

FAQs

Yes, we offer exclusive use of the venue.

Yes, we are licensed for civil ceremonies.

Yes, you can have the ceremony outdoors under the Portico. We'll let you know on the wedding morning if the outdoor ceremony is confirmed because we can't guarantee the weather. If it's bad, the indoor options will always be available for the ceremony.

We do not allow corkage options, but if there is a specific drink you would like to have, we can discuss this prior to the wedding day.

We have our own team of chefs who create a variety of menus for our couples and are willing to accommodate their specific needs. However, we do not allow outside catering, except for your wedding cake.

All overnight guests are welcome to enjoy drinks beyond regular hours and relax in the Lounge. Non-resident guests will need to leave by midnight, unless the Bride and Groom have made prior arrangements for a bar extension.

Please consult your Personal Wedding Manager for further details regarding fireworks.

Only neutral paper confetti is allowed to be thrown indoors, while fresh petals can be thrown outdoors. We prioritise creating a homely atmosphere for every event, and having leftover confetti from previous occasions would compromise this feeling.

Yes, we do allow candles, but they must comply with our Naked Flame Policy: All candles must be completely enclosed on the sides, with the flame tip positioned at least 5cm below the top of the enclosure. Additionally, unless they are enclosed in hurricane lamps outside, all candles must be placed at a minimum height of 70cm above the floor.

Yes, indulge in the stunning Lady Bourton Honeymoon Suite, featuring a dressing room and a private en-suite with a shower and bath. It's the perfect way to end your special day.

Yes, we have 21 bedrooms in the house, which can accommodate a total of 42 guests. Additionally, we offer two bedrooms with sofa beds at an extra cost, suitable for children.
