In September 2024, Guides for Brides organised an enchanting styled shoot, teaming up with a beautiful Oxfordshire wedding venue. With the help of some incredible suppliers, we showcased this venue as the ideal setting for couples wanting a unique and personalised wedding.

The Venue
Located in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, The Chilterns View is a breathtaking wedding reception venue that provides a vast, open space for you and your guests to celebrate your big day. With panoramic views and an idyllic backdrop, this venue is perfect for marquee weddings for couples that love the outdoors. The open, dry-hire space at The Chilterns View ensures that your special day is truly unique to you.
The shoot captured the all-important getting-ready moments in one of The Chilterns View's charming lodges, beautifully modelled by Natalie Chandler. With sweeping views of the hills, the lodge was the perfect setting for these pre-wedding preparations. These lodges provide not only a luxurious retreat but also comfortable accommodation, with 11 beautifully appointed rooms that can host the bridal party and close family or friends.
Each room is thoughtfully designed to combine modern comfort with rustic charm, making the lodges ideal for relaxing pre-wedding preparations and a peaceful overnight stay. Surrounded by stunning countryside views, the lodges create a serene atmosphere that enhances the wedding experience, offering ample space for guests to unwind and enjoy the beauty of the Chiltern Hills.

The Chilterns View is a hidden gem in the Oxfordshire countryside with 360° views, offering a secluded, rural location for your wedding reception.The Bridal Looks
Each wedding dress was carefully selected by Nicole Maes Bridal in Oxfordshire, ensuring the bridal gowns complemented the wedding venue beautifully.
The first wedding dress was Barbara by Ricca Sposa, an enchanting off-shoulder mermaid gown in ivory satin and tulle, with a deep V-neckline and fitted bodice. The delicate beading and lace appliques add a soft, romantic touch, while the skirt flares at the knees, creating a dramatic yet graceful silhouette. Her hair and make-up, by Laura & Heidi Hair & Makeup, was styled with soft curls, paired with a natural, glowy makeup look.
The second look was Messina by Ricca Sposa. This chic and modern wedding dress, adorned with intricate floral appliqués and a plunging neckline, added a touch of delicate romance. The flowing skirt was so graceful and effortless, perfectly suited to the venue's natural beauty and serene backdrop.
The Details
Styled to perfection by Hire Heaven, the shoot embraced a rustic and romantic theme, harmonising with the natural beauty of The Chilterns View. The floral arrangements and decor were carefully chosen to create an elegant look. The stunning white wedding cake made by Gallery Cakes, was decorated with pink and white flowers, perfectly in tune with the day's theme.
The marquee, tables and chairs for our Styled Shoot were provided by Brightwell Marquees, and the wedding reception design was all brought together by Oxford Event Hire, who provided the glassware, cutlery, crockery and linen!
As a dry hire wedding venue, we opted for delicious street food, catered by Ray Mekhi's, for a relaxed, "festival" type experience. The non-alcoholic beverages from LA Brewery provided a refreshing touch, complementing the delicious gourmet burgers and topped fries that brought an inviting, modern twist. With a flexible catering approach, The Chilterns View allows couples to choose a caterer that reflects their personal tastes.
This styled shoot showcased the venue's ability to turn your wedding dream into a reality, whatever your theme or style may be. The Chilterns View offers a truly unique and unforgettable experience for couples looking to celebrate their day in one of the most beautiful places to say “I do.”
