About Rackleys Chiltern Hills

Rackleys is a beautiful lovingly restored country barn set in seven acres in the picturesque Chiltern Hills, an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, a stunning setting for your wedding. We are licensed for civil weddings, & cater for up to 120 guests.

As you enter Rackleys Barn, you fall in love with its majestic oak beams festooned with lights. The beautiful exposed brick & flint work attracting the light flowing in from the conservatory. Take a wander up the stairs, sit back & relax with your guests in the sumptuous gallery whilst enjoying the specular barn view from above. We have our stylish bar in the corner of the barn, serving a fine selection of wines, spirits & local craft beers.

When booking your wedding at Rackleys you have exclusive use of the entire venue & seven acres of grounds surrounded by the Chiltern Hills. Outside you will find a large lawn area with a York Terrace which sweeps around the building adorned with garden furniture. Beyond the lawn there is a wildflower meadow which flows down the hillside. Rackleys has a beautifully manicured courtyard area which is specially reserved for the grand entrance of the wedding car. Across the courtyard you will find the red bricked pathway that leads to the Registrars Room, further along our elegant Bridal Room where you can get ready for your big day. A unique millstone water feature is nestled within the espalier pear trees creating a picture perfect backdrop.

Events at Rackleys are managed by our experienced & knowledgeable team. Absolute Cuisine will walk you through all options of catering, from rustic to elegant, intimate to elaborate, let us help you create the perfect wedding menu for your dream day.

Yes, all weddings have exclusive use of our venue.

We do not permit people to bring their own drinks on site.

We have an exceptional in-house catering team, Absolute Cuisine. Many of the menus can be adapted to cater for those guests who have allergies or dietary requirements.

You may have access to the barn from 9am. However, if there is no events the day before, you have accessibility from 10am to 4pm the day before your wedding.

The music needs to finish at 11.30, the alcohol service also ends at this time. We ask that your guests leave by 12am as to respect our neighbours.

Yes, the noise levels must not exceed 95 decibels.

No due to a neighbouring farm, however sparklers are allowed outside in certain allocated places.

Only bio-degradable confetti is permitted.
