About Rockbeare Manor

Set in over 100 acres of parkland, our Grade I listed Regency house has a timeless elegance about it. We would like you to treat it as your own, and are sure that you will feel at home in the stylish but relaxed surroundings.

Weddings are our passion. From the moment you catch your first glimpse of Rockbeare Manor through the trees lining the driveway, right up to the big day itself, we want you to have the day that you have always imagined, and as such we’ll do our utmost to ensure that we give you the support that you need to be able to achieve this.

Whether you have 50 or 150 guests attending, we have a choice of places to hold your civil ceremony, including the stately Dining Room or the pretty outdoor Terrace. You can then enjoy reception drinks and some delicious canapés, before being invited into our spacious Ballroom for a lavish wedding breakfast.

With a professional and dedicated Event Manager to help plan and run your day, we will go the extra mile to deliver the highest possible level of service. We’ll give the utmost care and attention to every aspect of your day offering a bespoke service, allowing each and every moment the freedom to be unique and personal. Evermore popular, weekday weddings offer incredible value and are available from Monday to Thursday.

Terms and conditions

£1950 - From January through to and including the third week of July (excluding the Easter period and May half term). Also available from September through until the week before Christmas. £2800 - Includes the Easter period, May half term, the last week in July through to the end of August, and the week before Christmas. Excludes Bank Holidays, and the period between Christmas and New year. A minimum of 50 adult guests applies.

Rockbeare Manor is magical in all seasons. There is a real elegance in winter weddings. The depth of colours, soft glow of the open fires and gentle flickering of candlelight make this time of year so special.

Terms and conditions

You can take advantage of this if you are considering a wedding on a Friday, Saturday or Sunday in from November 1st - March 31st. Excludes Saturdays in December, the period between Christmas and New Year and Bank holiday weekends. A minimum of 80 adult guests applies. Price is for Venue Hire only. Food, drink and accommodation is in addition.

Yes, for all our weddings we offer exclusive use of Rockbeare Manor. This means your guests and you can enjoy a day to yourselves tailored around both you and your partner.

Rockbeare Manor is licenced for ceremonies up to 160 guests.

Yes, we can hold ceremonies outdoors here at Rockbeare Manor. You can say your vows underneath the archway of our South Pavilion looking out to your guests who can enjoy the beautiful view.

Yes, we do charge corkage if you'd like to bring your own wine, sparkling wine or Champagne to our wedding venue.

We ask that all catering is provided by our expert kitchen team at Rockbeare Manor who are both flexible and can tailor our menus to your needs.

On the day of the wedding, the wedding party have access to Rockbeare Manor from 11:30am. Wedding suppliers can access the venue from 10:30am to begin any set up.

Our music licence at Rockbeare Manor finishes at 12:15am. We find that most wedding guests attending a reception will usually depart around this time or at 12:30am.

Yes, you can have fireworks at Rockbeare Manor. We ask couples to only use our recommended supplier, Sonic Fireworks, if they wish to have fireworks for their wedding.

Yes, you are able to throw confetti at Rockbeare Manor. We do this on the lower lawns in our beautiful grounds and ask brides and grooms to supply natural flower petals only (no paper, foil or confetti cannons please).

Yes, you are welcome to use candles in your wedding decorations at the venue as long as they are kept within a candle holder.

Yes, we do have space for the the wedding couple to stay in a honeymoon suite at Rockbeare Manor. Our online accommodation hub allows brides and grooms to choose who stays with them within the manor on the night of their wedding along with which room they will be staying in. This allows our couples to pick which one of our bedrooms they'd like to stay in depending on preference. We do find however, most couples choose the spacious, Room 1 as their bridal suite.

Yes, Rockbeare Manor has 13 luxury, en-suite bedrooms on site.

Yes, with Rockbeare Manor being situated near Exeter city centre, you'll have easy access to alternative accommodation. The Hampton by Hilton is also only a short drive away with some bed and breakfasts based nearby too.

As long as the band are sensible with levels there aren't any noise restrictions at Rockbeare Manor.
