About Rufford Mill
In the heart of Nottinghamshire's serene countryside, Rufford Mill enchants with rustic charm and timeless elegance. Its idyllic mill pond, original mill buildings, and picturesque gardens offer a breathtaking canvas for your wedding day. Select from romantic ceremony and reception spaces, like the majestic Oak Barn with vaulted ceilings and sweeping views. The Millhouse provides a cosy ambience with exposed beams and a warm fireplace.
Rufford Mill is located within Rufford Abbey Country Park, offering a beautiful setting with stunning locations for your wedding photos. Popular spots include the main Abbey, formal gardens, and Rufford Lake. The ceremony and wedding breakfast will take place in our beautiful beamed Talbot Suite, located on the first floor of the venue, with lift access available. The suite features a separate bar area at the back for a quiet, relaxed space. For your evening reception, we offer the Markham Suite on the ground floor, complete with its own bar and seating for up to 70 guests.
Rufford Mill accommodates up to 80 guests for the ceremony and sit down wedding breakfast. For the evening reception, we can host up to a total of 100 guests.
We offer five wedding packages, with availability for bookings until December 2026. Please note, bookings for 2027 will begin in August 2025.

Jump straight from your ceremony into your evening reception with our Late Availability Package available for 2025 remaining dates only! Only £2,500 for 60 guests This 2025 Late Availability Package Includes : ♡ A Late Ceremony in the Talbot Suite at 4.30pm for 60 guests ♡ Then downstairs for the remainder of the evening in the Markham Suite for Reception Drinks (1 per person) and Evening Reception with white sparkly dancefloor and light up love letters included in the room , and chairs with White sashes ♡ An Evening Buffet for 60 Guests The buffet station will be set up in the Talbot Suite at a time of your choosing, for guests to get food and take with them downstairs to the Markham ( please note the Talbot Suite will not be available for seating) Terms & Conditions : *Subject to a minimum bar spend of £1,000 *Subject to date and availability (2025 dates ONLY excluding Bank Holidays) package expires Friday 19th December 2025 *Excludes access to the Abbey for photo’s *Talbot Suite is for the ceremony and buffet station only (guests are required to take plated food to Markham) . *Excludes any venue dressing in the Talbot suite *Markham suite chairs and furniture including love letters remain in the room and cannot be moved to the Talbot *Additional guests chargeable at £16.00 pp *Max 100
