About Caswell House
Caswell House in Oxfordshire combines historic Cotswold barns, private gardens, and on-site accommodation to shape a carefully considered wedding experience. The estate’s restored barns, with flagstone floors, Cotswold stone and exposed oak beams, serve as the main spaces for ceremonies, wedding breakfasts and evening celebrations.
Couples can hold their ceremony indoors in the historic barn or choose an outdoor option under the 15th-century Loggia archway. After vows, guests move through the courtyards and gardens into reception spaces and dining areas. Wenmans Barn seats up to 140 guests for a meal, with room for up to 200 in the evening. Three restored barns are included in exclusive use of the venue, and two private preparation spaces, the Dressing Room and the Games Room, are available for the wedding party before the ceremony. The estate’s layout and sequence allow celebrations to flow from welcome gatherings through dining and dancing without moving off site.
Caswell House also includes 16 bedrooms on the estate, all for the couple and guests to stay overnight, with the Honeymoon Suite provided for the night of the wedding. With exclusive use of courtyards and barns from mid-morning until midnight and extensions on request, celebrations can extend into the next day with a relaxed breakfast and time together before departure. The focus of the day remains on the setting, spaces and shared moments, all on a private Oxfordshire estate.

Caswell House is a corkage-free venue, so you can bring your own champagne, Prosecco, or Pimms for the drinks reception and wine for the wedding breakfast. Any remaining alcohol will be stored for you to take home, and drinks for the evening can be purchased at the Oak Bar.
You can access the spaces in at Caswell House during the following times: The Dressing Room – 9am, The Barns – 10am, The Old Stables – 11am, Accommodation – 1pm.
We have a sound limiter in place set to 96 decibels.
You are welcome to use natural petal confetti on your wedding day. Biodegradable paper or bubbles are not permitted.
Absolutely. There is plenty of parking available for wedding guests at Caswell House. Cars are able to stay at the venue overnight until 10 o’clock the following morning.
