Whether you are looking to hold your wedding on a date that is really special to you or you are planning last minute, our availability checker will help you to find wedding venues and suppliers that have a specific date free for your big day.
Whether you need a florist for your wedding in January 2024 or are looking for a wedding venue with Saturday availability in August 2023, you can search with ease using our handy tool.
How do I use the Availability Search on Guides for Brides?
Using our availability search tool is very easy! Simply put the exact or approximate date in the search bar at the top of the page to see all wedding suppliers and venues that have marked themselves as having availability for that date or period. You can then filter by category or location to help you narrow your search.
If you are looking for late availability (to host your wedding within the next 6 months), you'll easily be able to find venues and suppliers that can accommodate your wedding. Plus, if they are looking to fill that date, you may find a great last minute wedding offer.
What if I am flexible with my wedding date?
Our availability checker is designed to be as flexible as possible. If you have just started planning your wedding and are looking for your venue, you can search by days and months rather than specific dates. So, if you've always dreamed of getting married on a Saturday in April, you can search by this to find venues and suppliers that can accommodate your request.
For those that don't mind when they tie the knot, you're in luck! The more flexible you can be with your venue availability, the more likely you are to find your first choice venue.
What should I do if I cannot find a supplier for my wedding date?
If you struggle to find a wedding supplier that is available on your date, our recommendation is to expand your search. If you are looking for a specific supplier within a 15 mile radius of your venue, you are limiting yourself. You may want to increase that to 40 miles (or beyond) to allow for more options.
You may also want to consider how far you can increase your search. Some suppliers such as wedding photographers and wedding planners are not limited by distance and are happy to travel across the UK and beyond for their couples as long as their travel is covered.
If you are really stuck, it's always worth contacting businesses anyway as they may still have availability even if they are not appearing within this search. For example, some cake makers and florists may be able to do more than one wedding a day. So, it is always worth sending the enquiry as the supplier may be able to fit you into their schedule even if they haven't marked themselves as free within this search.
When should I start my wedding venue and supplier search?
The majority of couples plan their weddings within 18 months of the big day. So, if you are wanting to have your wedding on a date that's special to you, we recommend starting your search as early as you can to avoid disappointment. This is especially important if your dream wedding date is likely to be popular (i.e. a Saturday in the summer).
